Pros:
Can't think of many except we like the neighborhood. The Foodtown and library are nearby.
Cons:
Block is very loud. Witnessed police abuse of pedestrian on the block. 5th floor walk-up. Mainly, the building landlord and management (Ana Ruiz) lied to us that we could move out early with no penalty. The unit was being sold and they also did not give us info on the sell, but we moved in with the intention to be able to put an offer in (we knew the lease was only 1 year). They did not give us our security deposit back until we threatened to go to small claims court, then we got it back (they kept $300 because of "painting" which is illegal, we should've gotten the entire deposit back, but I accepted because I was tired of arguing with them).
Advice to owner:
Do better.
