Bugs, bugs, bugs
Former Tenant
Pros:
Relatively inexpensive, but pretty bad overall
Cons:
Bugs: coming out of the walls, from under the door, up the drains, from the heat pipes, from the neighbors...
Management operates like actual slum lords, including harassing elder tenants
Every part gets "the landlord special" and if you can't fix it yourself, or are pretty handy, don't expect a smooth experience
Advice to owner:
Just fix the building already

Nice building with Stuart Little & Friends
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to 1 & A train and lots of beautiful parks, fairly quiet building, and overall decent apartment.
Cons:
You’ll start to feel comfortable and then one day you’ll see Stuart Little and friends out of nowhere in your bedroom, bathroom, or kitchen (no matter how clean it is.) I saw a mouse run inside of the stove. INSIDE OF THE STOVE!! IN.....SIDE...OF....THE...STOVE! I was horrified. Someone is always fixing a car in front of the building. The front door of the building was often propped open. My cell reception wasn’t that great in my bedroom and my calls would drop when I entered or exited the building. If I was on a phone call when approaching the apartment I’d end the call before entering the building because otherwise the call would drop. I never had issues with my cell provider while living anywhere else.
Advice to owner:
Better pest control! Keep front door closed for security purposes.
