Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 835 Dekalb Ave highlight spacious units and minimal pest issues as pros. However, tenants faced prolonged heat issues and ongoing maintenance problems. Concerns about high electricity bills were raised. In contrast, 338 Throop Ave reviews mention good responsiveness from management, but noise issues due to thin windows. Residents recommend thicker windows for noise reduction. While the building is seen as a suitable starter apartment with good natural light, noise disturbances remain a common downside. Overall, both buildings offer basic amenities but require improvements in infrastructure for enhanced living experiences.

A fine starter apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Management is responsive to maintenance requests and the natural light in the bedrooms is great
Cons:
The living room does not have windows, the windows in the bedrooms are so thin that just normal speaking voices on the street can be heard from the third floor
Advice to owner:
Provide thicker windows
