Save Yourself the Headache
Former Tenant
Pros:
At least for apt 2 the rooms are huge, everyone gets there own bathroom and the location is amazing. Surprisingly quiet but guess that depends on the room you get. Quick access to everything.
Cons:
Everything else besides the pros. I’ll just start by saying they moved people into a building that was no where near ready to be occupied. Starting from baseboard heaters not working, utilities bills being high and inaccurate. Currently have a shared meter case against the landlord for electricity. Landlord very unresponsive, if he says he will show up he won’t provide a time so you waste your day to then finally hearing from him saying he won’t make it today, or he agrees to a time and shows up hrs late. Don’t think he respects women. He show up unannounced sometimes, only time you can get them to do anything is if you threaten them with calling 311, withholding rent, or housing court. They don’t keep you in the loop with any issue. You have to keep calling and calling and calling and they only work on their time. Not that I was staying anyway but has the nerve to raise rent when this place is trashy. I love the space and the area but it’s like a second job dealing with the landlord.
Advice to owner:
You need to do a full extensive inspection of this place and fix what issues come up. This place has potential to be great if you fixed issues and treated your tenants with respect.

Disappointing property that had great potential
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice location - easy access to G train and to rest of Brooklyn and Manhattan. Hardwood floors and a private bathroom is nice.
Cons:
Broken heat and no AC No smoke detectors No front porch light Fly problem inside and outside apartment due to trash out front Noisy neighbors Next to two construct companies that work on weekends early (7am!) Landlord hard to reach and must be threatened before taking action Only ONE Coney meter for the ENTIRE building. Not only illegal but makes it so Apt 2 has paid for the entire buildings electric throughout the lease
Advice to owner:
Fix your amenities and utilities and you might get people to stay!
