Former Tenant
Pros:
The location is good.
Cons:
Update: 15 days without a working refrigerator. Update: informed landlord that refrigerator was not working on 8/23/21. Technician from Aluf Appliance Repair came out and said the refrigerator needed to be shut down for 36 hours. Complied with his instructions , to no avail. It is now September 6, 2021, and the refrigerator has not been replaced. Management Company is completely unresponsive. Mold issues: moved into this building November 1, 2020. Immediately noticed downstairs bathroom had mold. Found out duplex unit next door also had a serious mold issue. Both myself and neighbor had to hire a CIS mold inspector and report through 311. This issue was not fixed until July of 2021 with a City Appointed Contractor ultimately closing the ceiling that had been left open. Rat issues, Appliance Issues, Laundry room is filthy. Building is only mopped once a week. Halls and common areas are not heated; your heating bill will run $400 plus for winter months. Have had to involve Housing Department in order to resolve maintenance and extermination issues.
Advice to owner:
Get a new management company. This building is poorly managed and maintained. Metroprop is unresponsive and will not even pick up the phone.it takes weeks/months to resolve any issues.
