Review Summary for 393 Bushwick Ave
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenants at 393 Bushwick Avenue, Brooklyn, highlight severe maintenance issues including cleanliness, heating problems, and pest infestations. The landlord's unresponsiveness to critical repairs and safety concerns, such as broken doors and structural damage, has left residents frustrated. Despite some positives like affordable rent and good water pressure, the prevalent issue of poor living conditions, lack of security, and landlord threats of eviction for reporting problems paint a grim picture. Tenants advise the management to prioritize legal compliance and address building-wide maintenance urgently to enhance the living experience. Approval of the owner and recommendation for staying are notably low.

Don’t do it. Just don’t.
Former Tenant
Pros:
creative freedom since the landlord literally couldn’t care less about the building.
Cons:
literally everything else. the building has never been cleaned, the front door knob of the building once was broken for over three weeks leaving us trapped in the building multiple times, ceilings cave in, and there’s serious structural damage and flooding. the roof on the landlord’s building two lots over completely caved in last year despite the warnings that it was unsafe.

My 1st NYC apartment--what a dump!
Former Tenant
Pros:
When I moved in, it was super cheap.
Cons:
So many. Could never reach the landlord when there were problems. Once lost electricity for a week because of blown fuses we were unable to access. Had no heat for weeks and when I finally reached property manager he said he thought I was making it up. Post office wouldn't deliver mail because of damaged mail boxes that landlord wouldn't fix
Advice to owner:
