Pests and overall bare bones maintenance.

Pros:
Large apartments. Friendly super and porter. Nice area and affordable rent.
Cons:
Repeated bedbug episodes. Building management would treat, but just the bare minimum treatment. It became musical chairs of rotating apartments with bedbugs, since some tenants were not taking care of their apartments or would hide that they had a bedbug problem and lax treatment from management perpetuated the issue. This was several years back; hopefully, the situation has improved.
Advice to owner:
If you have bedbugs in a property, you must go after the issue in full force and educate your tenants to speak up when they have a problem. One apartments bedbug problem becomes the problem of all their neighbors. An infestation can really destroy the mental health and well being of someone living through it.

Not a Good Place to Live

Pros:
The size of the apartment, amount of natural light, location to train
Cons:
They shut off the hot water all the time, there are roaches, they take a while to actually fix things, the neighbors overflow tubs causing leaks that transpire to entire ceilings coming down, mold, landlord acts like they are unaware of issues and more.
