Absentee Landlord - Redsky
Former Tenant
Pros:
Renovated spacious apartments with lots of storage space Location near multiple subway stations.
Cons:
Building entrance needs updates. Intercom is broken. Intercom nameplates and mailbox nameplates do not get updated. Stairwell has never been painted. Landlord is not prompt to fix issues. Garbage and recycling situation has become a roach attraction.
Advice to owner:
Fix everything and lease up the retail to tenants that would be an amenity to the building.

Red Sky is terrible
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice building. The units were well maintained and the supers were generally helpful.
Cons:
Battled red sky for nearly our entire year long lease to manage the unit properly and fix issues. They did not provide hot water consistently— it was regularly well below the legal minimum of 120 and red sky would not respond and fix it. It took months of emailing and calling 311 for them to do something. It was incredibly frustrating. Other instances of unprofessionalism and mismanagement: they emailed the building residents at ~1pm on a weekday saying our building’s front door locks were being changed and we had to arrive home by 6pm to get a new copy. This is not possibly for many working folks let alone folks in less accessible industries (e.g. service) and showed a complete disregard for the tenants.
Advice to owner:
Give a shit about your tenants.
