Ticks A Lot of Boxes
Pros
- Some units are rent stabilized - Quiet building/ street - Haven't had any packages go missing ( I always grab mine within 24hrs) - No pests in building. Even outside, I rarely see rats on this block - probably because of the neighborhood cats - Close to train, shopping, grocery store, nightlife, gyms, yoga studios etc. Things are less obvious in the industrial areas, but plenty to do! - Heating/ cooling is efficient, so utilities aren't expensive (~100 avg total for gas + electric, but often less) -Good water pressure -Apartment/ appliances/ fixtures etc generally in good shape - Easy to find on-street parking within a block
Cons
-Car repair shop (?) across the street can be noisy/ smelly - Super can be very slow to follow up when they say they'll come back about an issue - rent isn't cheap. But I don't think it's unreasonable for the area. Considering the pros, I'd say you get what you pay for - Hallways/ stairwell aren't cleaned frequently - Occasionally stinky halls because of trash chute
Advice to the owners
More cleaning & more responsive maintenance would be great!
