Generally a chill spot. Basically the same as any east village apartment.

Amazing super, extremely responsive and (c) openigloo will do his best to (c) openigloo arrive day of or next (c) openigloo day. Dog friendly! Management is generally (c) openigloo super responsive and will fix (c) openigloo any problem you have without (c) openigloo charging.
Cons:
Walls are thin, depending on (c) openigloo who’s living there it can (c) openigloo be noisy bc of parties (c) openigloo but mainly in spring/summer. The (c) openigloo roof used to be a (c) openigloo very nice spot but previous (c) openigloo tenants messed up the furniture (c) openigloo and it hasn’t been replaced. (c) openigloo The building heat isn’t that (c) openigloo reliable so you have to (c) openigloo use the heat strips in (c) openigloo the units (adds a big (c) openigloo cost in winter months). No (c) openigloo laundry unless in your unit. (c) openigloo Minimal closet space/storage. Units are (c) openigloo small and two bedrooms are (c) openigloo flex.
Advice to owner:
Get new roof furniture and be better about turning on building heat in colder months.

- Cleanliness, building staff regularly (c) openigloo cleans building and garbage - (c) openigloo quiet street since it’s across (c) openigloo from a public school but (c) openigloo can be a full of (c) openigloo litter and suspicious activity at (c) openigloo night - install AC for (c) openigloo free / store them during (c) openigloo winter

- no heat on lower (c) openigloo level of duplex - management (c) openigloo is very slow to answer (c) openigloo maintenance requests / not organized (c) openigloo - cockroaches sometimes - washing (c) openigloo and drying machines are not (c) openigloo the best and will shrink (c) openigloo all your clothes

Fix heat and answer requests in a timely manner
Cheap ass hell, nice owner, but mouse infested

The owner Morris was very (c) openigloo kind and accomodating to us, (c) openigloo he lowered our rent once (c) openigloo to help us out when (c) openigloo one of our roommates dropped (c) openigloo out, and he always sent (c) openigloo a mouse guy when we (c) openigloo asked him to
Cons:
Unfortunately you will not beat (c) openigloo the mice in this building. (c) openigloo I lived there 2020-2021 and (c) openigloo we caught at least 24 (c) openigloo mice. The landlord sent guys (c) openigloo to come and fill holes (c) openigloo and lay traps repeatedly, but (c) openigloo it never helped. It ended (c) openigloo up being the reason we (c) openigloo did not resign. If we (c) openigloo left for a weekend with (c) openigloo 4 empty traps you would (c) openigloo come back to 4 full (c) openigloo traps. So the apt always (c) openigloo smelled of dead mice too.

This is an awesome location (c) openigloo in les and a well-managed (c) openigloo building. Try to live in (c) openigloo the back building if possible

pests even on 4th floor (c) openigloo (cockroaches and lanternflies), hallways not (c) openigloo well-maintained or cleaned, neighbors are (c) openigloo rude and dirty / leave (c) openigloo trash in hallways, very small (c) openigloo flex room and very expensive, (c) openigloo warped floors, issues with drains (c) openigloo and appliances, loud street (major (c) openigloo construction right down the block (c) openigloo wakes you up at 6:30am (c) openigloo and they often stay later (c) openigloo than is allowed by noise (c) openigloo ordinances monday-saturdays), management/ super are (c) openigloo somewhat responsive to initial requests (c) openigloo but flaky, unhelpful, and rude. (c) openigloo issues often do not get (c) openigloo dealt with, and there is (c) openigloo zero communication from the super (c) openigloo / management about building-wide issues. (c) openigloo water would randomly shut off (c) openigloo with no communication, the lock (c) openigloo to the front door of (c) openigloo the building broke, and the (c) openigloo innermost building front door has (c) openigloo been broken for months and (c) openigloo yes management was made aware (c) openigloo of the issue and said (c) openigloo it would be fixed the (c) openigloo day they were contacted. maintenance (c) openigloo guys are nice and helpful, (c) openigloo but sometimes show up without (c) openigloo any notice because of lack (c) openigloo of communication from management/super. the (c) openigloo whole building smells like trash (c) openigloo and vomit. should be half (c) openigloo the rent for the quality.
Advice to owner:
way overcharging for a building of this quality. if you want satisfied tenants, invest in better management.
