Reviews

Not bad, very young neighbors
Former Tenant
Pros:
I liked the neighbors, everyone (c) openigloo is super chill and in (c) openigloo their 20s. The super is (c) openigloo pretty responsive when issues get (c) openigloo submitted.
Cons:
The rent going up crazy (c) openigloo amounts
Great experience and location
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building has great amenities (c) openigloo like washer/dryer in unit, central (c) openigloo AC, elevator, dishwasher, and the (c) openigloo shared rooftop is awesome. There (c) openigloo is also a parking garage (c) openigloo in building which has been (c) openigloo super convenient. The noise level (c) openigloo from the street and other (c) openigloo neighbors is pretty low. You (c) openigloo can only really hear neighbors (c) openigloo if they are blasting music. (c) openigloo The location is also amazing! (c) openigloo 5 min walk from the (c) openigloo Bedford stop and close to (c) openigloo all bars/nightlife in Williamsburg.
Cons:
The bedrooms are too small (c) openigloo and overall we found it (c) openigloo to be too expensive for (c) openigloo the amount of space you (c) openigloo are getting. It's similarly priced (c) openigloo to other luxury apts in (c) openigloo the area though. There is (c) openigloo no package room as well (c) openigloo so theft can easily happen.
Luxury pricing for below average management/amenities
Former Tenant
Pros:
Overall unit design and layout (c) openigloo are lovely, building looks beautiful (c) openigloo from the outside, public areas (c) openigloo are always kept clean, good (c) openigloo location, good access to L,M,J (c) openigloo trains
Cons:
Building focused: SO overpriced and (c) openigloo management SUCKS. They take no (c) openigloo accountability and responsiveness does not (c) openigloo even equate to the bare (c) openigloo minimum. For 90% of my (c) openigloo lease duration, there has been (c) openigloo ongoing issues with package theft (c) openigloo on a weekly basis. Not (c) openigloo only is this a massive (c) openigloo inconvenience, but also clearly unsettling (c) openigloo to live in this type (c) openigloo of atmosphere where this is (c) openigloo so frequent, prevalent, and easy (c) openigloo to do. No compensation to (c) openigloo tenants and even more disappointingly, (c) openigloo no effort to resolve the (c) openigloo issue. Ie, upping security measures, (c) openigloo changing codes, showing any type (c) openigloo of concern with preventative measures. (c) openigloo etc. Unit focused: balcony door (c) openigloo doesn't lock, which is extremely (c) openigloo unsafe considering neighboring balconies are (c) openigloo all attached to each other. (c) openigloo So just have to hope (c) openigloo and pray you don't live (c) openigloo next to a psycho. It's (c) openigloo known within the building that (c) openigloo unit's main doors can be (c) openigloo opened with a credit card. (c) openigloo Lovely. Kitchen window leaks every (c) openigloo time it rains and was (c) openigloo told someone would be sent (c) openigloo to fix it...still waiting on (c) openigloo that. Best of luck to (c) openigloo whoever moves in next. Absolute (c) openigloo joke to be expecting $3500 (c) openigloo for a 1br with this (c) openigloo lack of interest to care (c) openigloo about tenants rights to feel (c) openigloo like they can live safely (c) openigloo and comfortably. Misleading and straight (c) openigloo up lies on Streeteasy when (c) openigloo stated that this is a (c) openigloo doorman building - certainly is (c) openigloo not.
Advice to owner:
If you want to charge luxury prices, you need to provide tenants with luxury customer service and actually care about the people putting money in your pocket. .
Short and sweet
Former Tenant
Pros:
I loved how close this (c) openigloo was to franklin ave and (c) openigloo prospect park. Location is awesome!
Cons:
Roaches!! The big ones, and (c) openigloo had to deal with them (c) openigloo for 2+ years and it's (c) openigloo just now calming down.
Great Location - On border of North & South Williamsburg
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location. Upgraded stainless steel appliances, (c) openigloo nice wood floors, nice countertops.
Cons:
Building itself was cleaned regularly, (c) openigloo but perhaps not to the (c) openigloo fullest extent. Occasional cockroaches appeared.
quiet apartment but has some flooding issues
Former Tenant
Pros:
nice quiet apartment. responsive management (c) openigloo company
Cons:
flooding during major (and sometimes (c) openigloo even minor!) storms.
Advice to owner:
please fix flooding issue for next tenant thank you
Great Location, Steep Price
Former Tenant
Pros:
-Great location -Pizza place downstairs -Overall responsive (c) openigloo and kind person on site (c) openigloo (not the overall management company) -Ok (c) openigloo clean building for NYC (aside (c) openigloo from pests)
Cons:
-No smoke/CO2 detector ever installed (c) openigloo after multiple requests -After one (c) openigloo year they raised our rent (c) openigloo $800 -Door doesn’t open all the (c) openigloo way when you have a (c) openigloo bed inside the room -Group of (c) openigloo teens (who do not live (c) openigloo in the building) smoke weed/play (c) openigloo music in the hallways every (c) openigloo night and will steal your (c) openigloo food orders -Horrible roach problem
great Brooklyn Starter Place
Former Tenant
Pros:
cheap rent for good location
Cons:
electric bill was $500 a (c) openigloo month due to the AC (c) openigloo and a faulty system Way too (c) openigloo small for 4 people
Good Place, Greedy Management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Amazing location and building. Best (c) openigloo apartment I’ve lived in
Cons:
They raised the rent $500 (c) openigloo despite me already paying over (c) openigloo market
Love the apartment, management isn't great
Former Tenant
Pros:
Affordable, modern-ish apartments. Overall great apartment (c) openigloo and love the location.
Cons:
Isn't particularly clean or well (c) openigloo maintained. When there's an issue, (c) openigloo it takes while to get (c) openigloo fixed. Sometimes it take a (c) openigloo couple of tickets to get (c) openigloo an issue addressed. There haven't (c) openigloo been many issues so for (c) openigloo me it's been fine, but (c) openigloo I hope that nothing comes (c) openigloo up that requires management. I (c) openigloo just want to not have (c) openigloo to deal with them.
