Reviews

Amazing building and staff
Former Tenant
Pros:
Very good building. Management is (c) openigloo very good everyone is very (c) openigloo friendly. Doorman are incredibly helpful
Cons:
The only downside is that (c) openigloo some apartments face Atlantic and (c) openigloo it can get loud (c) openigloo when some large trucks pass.
Advice to owner:
Not Terrible but meh neighborhood
Former Tenant
Pros:
Big apartments, not reasonable rents
Cons:
the super is an asshole. (c) openigloo the neighborhood also sucks but (c) openigloo whatever
Advice to owner:
i think having a super who isn’t so rude would be a great start
Well-run building in great area
Former Tenant
Pros:
- location - online portal for (c) openigloo maintenance and rent - thick (c) openigloo walls, cannot hear neighbors easily
Cons:
-dingy, antiquated hallways
Advice to owner:
None
Problems from week 1
Former Tenant
Pros:
There are many employees constantly (c) openigloo working on the upkeep and (c) openigloo cleanliness of common areas. The (c) openigloo doormen are friendly and helpful (c) openigloo and manage packages safely. Overall (c) openigloo on-premise staff are a great (c) openigloo perk (if possibly the only (c) openigloo perk) of living here. Neighbors (c) openigloo are generally quiet and keep (c) openigloo to themselves.
Cons:
Management changes hands often and (c) openigloo all companies have been inattentive (c) openigloo and ineffective. The building is (c) openigloo older and it shows in (c) openigloo the units, even the renovated (c) openigloo ones. We have had ongoing (c) openigloo flooding and water damage (which (c) openigloo has led to mold and (c) openigloo property damage), severe pest issues, (c) openigloo and broken appliances that take (c) openigloo months to remedy. Elevators are (c) openigloo far too few for the (c) openigloo size of the building and (c) openigloo often break or are monopolized (c) openigloo by maintenance staff. Management is (c) openigloo disorganized and inefficient in correspondence (c) openigloo and turnover for admin seems (c) openigloo pretty frequent.
Advice to owner:
Increase efficiency in responding to tenants and decrease outward apathy towards people who pay you tens of thousands of dollars a year
Haven't been here long, but
Former Tenant
Pros:
Love the location close to (c) openigloo Prospect Park and awesome places (c) openigloo in the neighborhood. The building (c) openigloo seems to be kept up (c) openigloo pretty well- at least my (c) openigloo unit is.
Cons:
Across from a women's shelter- (c) openigloo can sometimes have sketchy interactions (c) openigloo with the ladies that stay (c) openigloo there, and they sometimes congregate (c) openigloo on our building's stoop. One (c) openigloo of my neighbors smokes, and (c) openigloo I always smell it in (c) openigloo my bathroom for some reason
Love this place
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great building and Great area
Cons:
Sometimes not the best light
Advice to owner:
Great job!
Not bad for a first apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
- maintenance within the apartment (c) openigloo is always ongoing so the (c) openigloo apartment building is typically very (c) openigloo clean - the super is (c) openigloo very quick to respond to (c) openigloo any ticket requests that are (c) openigloo put in - noise levels (c) openigloo are great/good mix of elderly (c) openigloo adults who’ve lived here for (c) openigloo years and younger adults - (c) openigloo elevator is always working
Cons:
- this isn’t much I (c) openigloo don’t like - wish there (c) openigloo was better management of mail (c) openigloo but that’s tenant focused
Love this building
Former Tenant
Pros:
I absolutely love everything about (c) openigloo this apartment!
Cons:
Small rooms mainly why I (c) openigloo am moving for more space
Lovely neighbors & neighborhood, shitty management, PEST PROBLEMS
Former Tenant
Pros:
The location is excellent and (c) openigloo lovely, the neighbors are all (c) openigloo so great, many of them (c) openigloo have lived in the building (c) openigloo for 10+ years and are (c) openigloo very community oriented. The apartments (c) openigloo themselves are good.
Cons:
MAJOR pest problems, mice/rats/bugs. Management (c) openigloo is rude and difficult and (c) openigloo doesn’t give a shit about (c) openigloo your time or health or (c) openigloo quality of life. For example, (c) openigloo not allowing weekend OR evening (c) openigloo move-ins/outs with literally zero exceptions (c) openigloo or flexibility.
Advice to owner:
Care about your tenants quality of life! And either charge less or fix more!!
horrible place to live
Former Tenant
Pros:
The only pro is that (c) openigloo most of the neighbors are (c) openigloo nice but with the way (c) openigloo things are going I doubt (c) openigloo any of them will stay (c) openigloo in this building
Cons:
Currently we have: broken elevator, (c) openigloo no hot water, no lights (c) openigloo in hallway or stairwell, garbage (c) openigloo piling up in the basement. (c) openigloo New owner of building seems (c) openigloo to be actively trying to (c) openigloo get tenants to leave (harassment). Every (c) openigloo two weeks or so there (c) openigloo will be no hot water, (c) openigloo no heat in winter, broken (c) openigloo elevator, trash piling up in (c) openigloo basement, no gas. Super does (c) openigloo not reply. You can check out (c) openigloo the violations yourself by searching (c) openigloo the department of buildings website (c) openigloo for the address.
