When we moved in, there (c) openigloo was a super and a (c) openigloo management company but then they (c) openigloo both left at the same (c) openigloo time and since then, the (c) openigloo landlord is hard to get (c) openigloo in touch with and slow (c) openigloo to respond or unresponsive about (c) openigloo fixing anything in the building. (c) openigloo Heat and hot water is (c) openigloo bad during winter months, elevator (c) openigloo continues to break down, damage (c) openigloo during rainstorms. Multiple times have (c) openigloo had issues with roach and (c) openigloo mice. City violations but nothing (c) openigloo changes.

my roommate and I love (c) openigloo love love the interior of (c) openigloo our apartment. it has so (c) openigloo much character - colored tiles, (c) openigloo huge bowl-shaped sink and counter (c) openigloo in the bathroom, windows covering (c) openigloo the whole apartment, lots of (c) openigloo brick. it is truly beautiful (c) openigloo and hard to pass up. (c) openigloo also has an in-unit washer (c) openigloo dryer which is amazing for (c) openigloo the price. building is in (c) openigloo a wonderful location close to (c) openigloo LES, Nolita/Soho, Noho, Stuytown, etc. (c) openigloo - you can walk everywhere. (c) openigloo Only 2 rooms per floor (c) openigloo once you get above the (c) openigloo first floor, so lots of (c) openigloo privacy

You can't control the heat (c) openigloo and all of the windows (c) openigloo make the apartment extremely extremely (c) openigloo hot even with an AC (c) openigloo unit attached to the window. (c) openigloo Next to a police station (c) openigloo so can get a little (c) openigloo bit loud. Easily worst of (c) openigloo all, we had lots of (c) openigloo mice in the summers. Not (c) openigloo fun. Would still live here (c) openigloo for all of the pros, (c) openigloo but would bring in a (c) openigloo contractor before moving all your (c) openigloo furniture in to fix the (c) openigloo problem.

(c) openigloo Oh did I mention the (c) openigloo fact that management doesn't respond (c) openigloo to any emails or fixes (c) openigloo anything? Packages get stolen all (c) openigloo the time, the door is (c) openigloo often broken. Don't forget about (c) openigloo the ROACHES!

When I first moved into (c) openigloo the building it was brand (c) openigloo new. Construction had just finished. (c) openigloo The walls were clean, new (c) openigloo appliances, it’s a walk-up building (c) openigloo but made look like those (c) openigloo new buildings in Williamsburg Brooklyn (c) openigloo were I came from. It’s (c) openigloo across the street from a (c) openigloo hospital, Who is recommended the (c) openigloo apartment from a realty company (c) openigloo who had high recommendations on (c) openigloo it and assured me the (c) openigloo building would be a quiet (c) openigloo place to live.
Cons:
Boy was I wrong. As (c) openigloo the months went by I (c) openigloo started to realize all of (c) openigloo the flaws about the building (c) openigloo and new tenants started to (c) openigloo move in the building progressively (c) openigloo became a disaster. The hot (c) openigloo water takes about 15 minutes (c) openigloo to come on and when (c) openigloo it does it only last (c) openigloo for about 20 to 25 (c) openigloo minutes. I’ve made numerous complaints (c) openigloo about it and still to (c) openigloo this day two years later (c) openigloo the hot water comes and (c) openigloo goes. Everything in the building (c) openigloo is electrical there’s no gas (c) openigloo so you pay for AC (c) openigloo central conditioning and your oven. (c) openigloo So if you want heat (c) openigloo in the winter time getting (c) openigloo ready to pay a higher (c) openigloo electricity bill. Every time you (c) openigloo cook and turn your oven (c) openigloo on expect your electricity bill (c) openigloo to be higher. The tub (c) openigloo is made out of plastic (c) openigloo and chipped easily. Should you (c) openigloo wash with any type of (c) openigloo color cleaning products like green (c) openigloo or blue Ajax it will (c) openigloo stain it blue/green. When it (c) openigloo rains there is a leak (c) openigloo in the roof so the (c) openigloo water goes through the entire (c) openigloo building and all of the (c) openigloo apartments. The finishings on the (c) openigloo plumbing aren’t sealed completely so (c) openigloo there’s water damage to the (c) openigloo cabinet and leaks in the (c) openigloo sink in the bathroom and (c) openigloo the bathtub. Tenants should they (c) openigloo fall asleep or forget to (c) openigloo turn the water off and (c) openigloo have a flood the water (c) openigloo leaks into the bathroom and (c) openigloo kitchen and destroys the sheet (c) openigloo rock on ceiling and Landlord (c) openigloo or super do not repair (c) openigloo or hasn’t repaired yet one (c) openigloo year later. Light went out (c) openigloo in the bathroom and Subaru (c) openigloo still yet to fix it (c) openigloo and the light messed up (c) openigloo from water damage from the (c) openigloo upstairs apartment flooding. Tenants moved (c) openigloo in and are crazy. and (c) openigloo the second floor was the (c) openigloo older man who lived and (c) openigloo I guess had two men (c) openigloo come stay over with him (c) openigloo and became squatters. The two (c) openigloo men that stood with him (c) openigloo are drug addicts, thieves, loud, (c) openigloo One of the dudes bullies (c) openigloo the older man and their (c) openigloo friend. So much so the (c) openigloo elderly man who’s apartment it (c) openigloo was got evicted and the (c) openigloo two men ppl who came (c) openigloo over never left when the (c) openigloo old man moved out and (c) openigloo are now squatters for over (c) openigloo 5 months now. Now the (c) openigloo two squatters the aggressive dust (c) openigloo head one bullies the friend (c) openigloo who stood behind, caught him (c) openigloo runnings for his safety up (c) openigloo the fire escapes, hid in (c) openigloo hallway closets even slept in (c) openigloo the sometimes which cause the (c) openigloo super to put locks on (c) openigloo all closet doors in the (c) openigloo hallway. The aggressive squatter now (c) openigloo calls throughout the building up (c) openigloo and down the stairs screaming (c) openigloo writing upside down crosses on (c) openigloo every single door and floor (c) openigloo and start, goes around bullying (c) openigloo and trying to break into (c) openigloo the other apartments, has destroyed (c) openigloo the locks on the front (c) openigloo door and back door of (c) openigloo building. On the third floor (c) openigloo is a toxic couple with (c) openigloo children who seem to beat (c) openigloo each other every single day (c) openigloo are drunk every single day (c) openigloo and fight in the hallway (c) openigloo and the apartment. Usually you (c) openigloo should mind your business but (c) openigloo when the fighting is in (c) openigloo the hallway and you hear (c) openigloo these little girls screaming for (c) openigloo their life you have no (c) openigloo choice but to get involved, (c) openigloo The boyfriend is also a (c) openigloo drug user and quite possibly (c) openigloo the girlfriend Sue and go (c) openigloo throughout the building fighting every (c) openigloo day screaming even on weekends (c) openigloo and early mornings. On the (c) openigloo fifth floor seems to be (c) openigloo where all the drunk people (c) openigloo are. Be prepared for tenants (c) openigloo on the fifth floor to (c) openigloo be asleep while the water (c) openigloo is running and flooding all (c) openigloo the apartments from the fourth (c) openigloo floor down, tenants in the (c) openigloo hallway screaming and fighting and (c) openigloo drunk acting belligerent. When throwing (c) openigloo out the garbage in the (c) openigloo back of the building be (c) openigloo prepared to tackle rats cats (c) openigloo and raccoons. If you have (c) openigloo a delivery to the building (c) openigloo be prepared for FedEx UPS (c) openigloo or any delivery service to (c) openigloo be too lazy to walk (c) openigloo up the stairs and leave (c) openigloo your package in the lobby. (c) openigloo That’s OK but what makes (c) openigloo it horrible is when tenants (c) openigloo in the building steal your (c) openigloo package. So I wouldn’t recommend (c) openigloo having anything delivered here even (c) openigloo if it is left in (c) openigloo front of your door, IT (c) openigloo WILL BE STOLEN! When it (c) openigloo rains be prepared for the (c) openigloo water to come down into (c) openigloo every apartment.
Advice to owner:
The super and the landlord do nothing to fix anything in the building except the super is a little bit more attentive. Yes the super will come and try to fix it but not fast enough or it will just be like putting a Band-Aid over a war wound. If you make a complaint about the noise or the other tenants screaming and arguing in the hallway or threatening other tenants all the super and Landlord will say is “ yes we know crazy people call the cops.” If you tell the landlord something is wrong in your apartment he says he would sell the super and when the super comes he sees what the problem is and then says he will tell the landlord. Does anything get fixed? Not really. If you have a problem with another tenant in the building and you confront them landlord the landlord will say that he does not want to get involved in any problems amongst tenants. Even if the other tenant has threatened you harassed you assaulted you and groped on you. You can call the police but the police really don’t do anything in this building they’re called about 3 to 4 times a week and even sometimes twice in a day. They know the squatters and do nothing about it they know that they are drug users and be in the building threatening people and the cops say they know them and will handle the situation but it never gets handled. So for months the cops landlord and Souper know that they are tenants and squatters in here using drugs and threatening other tenants and stealing and trying to break into the apartment but nothing is done. You can call them to make a complaint about some thing with your apartment or other tenants and expect for not much to be done.

Our unit was reasonably priced.
Cons:
Basement rooms were illegal. Property (c) openigloo management group was awful! Took (c) openigloo months to fix flooding and (c) openigloo mold issues. Avoid MD Squared (c) openigloo at all costs.

Shut down the company
