(c) openigloo roach infestation, never taken care (c) openigloo of. more and more mold (c) openigloo kept growing. nothing done to (c) openigloo fix it. basement has been (c) openigloo leaking for over a month (c) openigloo causing a large puddle you (c) openigloo have to tip toe around (c) openigloo to do laundry

get things done when they need to and stop cutting corners

The management company refuses to (c) openigloo put money into the building. (c) openigloo The elevator is frequently broken, (c) openigloo stranding older residents on the (c) openigloo top floors for days — (c) openigloo the max it was OOO (c) openigloo was around 10 days, and (c) openigloo it broke about a dozen (c) openigloo times when I lived there. (c) openigloo The super is nice but (c) openigloo not always quick to get (c) openigloo back to you. The management (c) openigloo company is much worse — (c) openigloo we had to contact them (c) openigloo constantly to get a response (c) openigloo about move out. The exterminator (c) openigloo comes twice a month but (c) openigloo doesn’t do much. We got (c) openigloo roaches twice in two years (c) openigloo and a mouse once. The (c) openigloo building is poorly maintained enough (c) openigloo that they’re sure to get (c) openigloo in. Also, be sure to (c) openigloo check if it’s a rent (c) openigloo stabilized unit before you rent. (c) openigloo They’re engaged in a lawsuit (c) openigloo with a number of tenants (c) openigloo for rent increases on stabilized (c) openigloo units.

Fix the elevator, put some actual money into the building

Friendly neighbors, great neighborhood, great (c) openigloo location, good water pressure. Apartment (c) openigloo has high ceilings and nice (c) openigloo hardwood floors.
Cons:
Roaches. Roach sightings vary. We're (c) openigloo very diligent about cleaning our (c) openigloo apartment. Sometimes, we'll go for (c) openigloo months without seeing any, but (c) openigloo then other times, we'll see (c) openigloo them once a week. Management (c) openigloo can be hit or miss. (c) openigloo When we had to move (c) openigloo out of our apartment due (c) openigloo to bed bugs, management gave (c) openigloo us one month of free (c) openigloo rent and paid for our (c) openigloo dry cleaning bills. However, when (c) openigloo our elevator was out for (c) openigloo approximately 9 months, management was (c) openigloo very unresponsive. We had to (c) openigloo fight with them to get (c) openigloo a 10% rent credit during (c) openigloo that period of time.

Walls are kinda thin, could (c) openigloo hear my next door neighbor's (c) openigloo TV/music when it was loud (c) openigloo but never overheard reasonably volumed (c) openigloo conversation. Heat was not reliable. (c) openigloo Get a space heater. Had (c) openigloo one or two roach infestations (c) openigloo during my time there but (c) openigloo the last few years were (c) openigloo fine.

How is it possible (c) openigloo for a management to allow (c) openigloo this issue to go for (c) openigloo this long? Knowing, the building (c) openigloo is 6 stories high. Disable, (c) openigloo seniors, pregnant women, and tenants (c) openigloo that have medical needs live (c) openigloo in the property. The management (c) openigloo has very poor follow-up skills. (c) openigloo We only got 10% credit (c) openigloo for 3 months. What happened (c) openigloo to the months after September (c) openigloo onward? The management keeps telling (c) openigloo us next month the elevator (c) openigloo will be fixed, but next (c) openigloo month keeps rolling into another (c) openigloo month and another. Unreliable. The maintenance (c) openigloo in the building is horrible. (c) openigloo Cracked paint falling off the (c) openigloo walls, hallway smells, mold infested (c) openigloo walls, probably asbestos. The super (c) openigloo does not mop or sweep (c) openigloo the building. Only the lobby. (c) openigloo We can go for weeks (c) openigloo and the building is not (c) openigloo mopped. Roaches the size of (c) openigloo cars everywhere from the staircase (c) openigloo to your apartment. Disgusting. The courtyard (c) openigloo is not cleaned, broken intercom, (c) openigloo broken mailboxes, broken glass on (c) openigloo the ground in the courtyard, (c) openigloo and garbage left by tenants (c) openigloo in the lobby. Leaks. Oh my. (c) openigloo Where should I begin? Leaks (c) openigloo are everywhere in everyone’s apartment. (c) openigloo Leaks in the bathroom in (c) openigloo the kitchen in your bedroom. (c) openigloo You name it. Not once, (c) openigloo but multiple times. The maintenance (c) openigloo in this property is horrible (c) openigloo and not well kept. Most (c) openigloo tenants are respectful, but most (c) openigloo don’t care. You have vampire (c) openigloo tenants who think no one (c) openigloo deserves to rest. Manangement does (c) openigloo nothing. Instead, management tells you (c) openigloo to solve it on your (c) openigloo own, because has nothing to (c) openigloo do with them. The management does (c) openigloo not respond to calls or (c) openigloo emails. Maybe, just maybe once. (c) openigloo You would need to keep (c) openigloo continuously calling or emailing. Constantly (c) openigloo following up with the Manangement (c) openigloo office. I, personally, do not (c) openigloo recommend anyone to rent from (c) openigloo this Manangement. They only want (c) openigloo your money, but don’t want (c) openigloo to fix or treat tenants (c) openigloo with respect.
Advice to owner:
First, stop with the unrealizable lies to tenants. Stop treating tenants, especially minorities like shit. If you don’t want the building or to do anything with the building, simple, sell it. Fix the elevator. We are all going on 9 months and no elevator service. Give the tenants credit for the entire months we had no elevator. Be responsive. Be respectful. Take time and visit the property to witness the condition the building is in.

(c) openigloo Takes multiple calls to the (c) openigloo management company to get responses (c) openigloo on anything.

Hire more receptionist, listen to your tenants, and whoever the man in the office is should have more respect for ever one who rents a unit. He’s so rude and acts like you’re not a human being.
