Reviews

Best Run Co-op on the Upper West Side
Former Tenant
Pros:
Beautiful pre-war, beautifully kept. Great (c) openigloo people in terms of neighbors (c) openigloo and building staff. A pleasure (c) openigloo to come home to every (c) openigloo night.
Cons:
There's not a thing to (c) openigloo recommend against this building and (c) openigloo it's staff.
Cookie cutter and corporate
Former Tenant
Pros:
Tiffany, one of the front (c) openigloo desk employees, is incredible. As (c) openigloo is Brad. They were by (c) openigloo far the best part of (c) openigloo the building. Location is alright. (c) openigloo Close to trains but feels (c) openigloo a little isolated from Boerum (c) openigloo Hill/Park Slope.
Cons:
The floor in our apartment (c) openigloo sloped and our balcony door (c) openigloo didn't properly shut unless locked, (c) openigloo which made me believe that (c) openigloo our unit had shoddy construction. (c) openigloo The new management company inherited (c) openigloo incredible staff, but they've fired (c) openigloo a number of them within (c) openigloo the past year. They're slow (c) openigloo to respond and rude when (c) openigloo bringing up major issues.
Want Slumlords? Welcome to Dermot and 316
Former Tenant
Pros:
Dermot is firing the staff (c) openigloo at a rapid rate. What’s (c) openigloo left of the staff- they (c) openigloo are wonderful. Recent new hires (c) openigloo are unfriendly and unhelpful but (c) openigloo there are a few gems (c) openigloo left. The people who live (c) openigloo in the building are great. (c) openigloo Dog friendly.
Cons:
Since Dermot took over the (c) openigloo building, the entire community and (c) openigloo quality of living has taken (c) openigloo a massive nosedive. First of (c) openigloo all, despite rent stabilization, Dermot (c) openigloo has found some clause in (c) openigloo leases so they are jacking (c) openigloo rents 1K+ per month per (c) openigloo unit. No one understands how (c) openigloo they are legally getting away (c) openigloo with this, but C-grade apartments (c) openigloo with finishes that are falling (c) openigloo apart are going well over (c) openigloo market rate and if you (c) openigloo live here 1 year, beware (c) openigloo if you want to renew. (c) openigloo They aren’t playing by the (c) openigloo rent stabilization rules. They have fired (c) openigloo tons of staff. The garbage (c) openigloo piles up. The gym is (c) openigloo filthy and there have been (c) openigloo incessant roach and bug problems. Not (c) openigloo to mention the management of (c) openigloo the direct building are super (c) openigloo rude. They make fun of (c) openigloo people who come tour the (c) openigloo building (one leasing agent called (c) openigloo a woman the B word). (c) openigloo The direct manager of the (c) openigloo building is brutally rude and (c) openigloo will stop responding to emails (c) openigloo whenever she feels like it. (c) openigloo Building management are uneducated, inept (c) openigloo and driving this place to (c) openigloo the ground. Hiring relatives to (c) openigloo work here- nepotism abound. It’s (c) openigloo filthy. There’s no value, and (c) openigloo tenants have to call 311 (c) openigloo to get anything done. Look (c) openigloo at every single other building (c) openigloo in the area before you (c) openigloo look at 316 Bergen while (c) openigloo Dermot is managing.
Advice to owner:

Building was nice, management not
Former Tenant
Pros:
Loved living in a old (c) openigloo building with original touches like (c) openigloo large rooms and cedar closets.
Cons:
Management company was not responsive, (c) openigloo when we moved out it (c) openigloo took 6+ months to receive (c) openigloo our security deposit back, with (c) openigloo no explanation or communication.
Well maintained doorman building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great doormen, well maintained
Cons:
no control over heat
Loved Living Here
Former Tenant
Pros:
Lived here briefly before moving (c) openigloo in with my boyfriend and (c) openigloo the staff is so hard (c) openigloo working. The residents have been (c) openigloo there forever and you can (c) openigloo tell so much love goes (c) openigloo into this place. Highly recommend
Cons:
No flashy amenities like a (c) openigloo rooftop, although the courtyard is (c) openigloo amazing! The gym requires an (c) openigloo annual fee and the package (c) openigloo room keeps specific hours. All (c) openigloo super minor though!
Good Budget Luxury Building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great value considering the area (c) openigloo and amenities.
Cons:
The doormen can be hit (c) openigloo or miss.
