Good area, good first apartment

No control of heat, the (c) openigloo plumbing is very loud from (c) openigloo other units, landlord not responsive (c) openigloo to requests for maintenance, dirty (c) openigloo common areas, hard to get (c) openigloo packages delivered.

Apartments are large and priced (c) openigloo well, Super is really nice (c) openigloo and responsive. Price doesn't increase (c) openigloo drastically each time I resign (c) openigloo the lease.
Cons:
It's a classic pre war (c) openigloo building, apartments are clean when (c) openigloo you move in but nothing (c) openigloo extraordinary. Older appliances, but I'd (c) openigloo rather pay less than have (c) openigloo everything brand new.
Solid walk up

Quiet, neighbors kept to themselves, (c) openigloo relatively clean, super Izet is (c) openigloo a really nice guy overall (c) openigloo and pretty quick to help. (c) openigloo Management co is pretty easy (c) openigloo to work with, but they (c) openigloo don’t negotiate much. The apartments (c) openigloo are classic NY walk ups, (c) openigloo with some charm and the (c) openigloo dust/many layers of paint that (c) openigloo come with it. Lots of (c) openigloo space but weird layouts so (c) openigloo it’s not all usable.
Cons:
Super could sometimes be hard (c) openigloo to get a hold of (c) openigloo (wanted to only stop in (c) openigloo for repairs in the middle (c) openigloo of the day, which is (c) openigloo challenging if you work office (c) openigloo hours). Package theft is definitely (c) openigloo a problem. Stairs very narrow (c) openigloo and steep, even for a (c) openigloo walk up- made moving a (c) openigloo challenge. Trash management was unclear (c) openigloo at times. Double locking doors (c) openigloo with two separate keys (rather (c) openigloo than a fob) got annoying (c) openigloo at times. Steam heat was (c) openigloo aggressively hot half the year. (c) openigloo If you want your whole (c) openigloo deposit back, you have to (c) openigloo grease the hand of the (c) openigloo super.

(c) openigloo Then when I told them (c) openigloo they increased the rent by (c) openigloo 60%. Noisy neighbor, party late (c) openigloo night early mornings.
