The building has laundry & (c) openigloo elevator, decent sized apartments, & (c) openigloo the building is clean. The (c) openigloo super lives in the building, (c) openigloo and is quick to help (c) openigloo if i have any issues.
Cons:
The walls are paper thin, (c) openigloo I hear my neighbors next (c) openigloo to me & above; walking, (c) openigloo moving furniture, talking (it sounds (c) openigloo like they are in my (c) openigloo apt), there are no exhaust (c) openigloo fans in the kitchen. I (c) openigloo also have gotten packages stolen (c) openigloo from me twice (i have (c) openigloo lived here for 3 years (c) openigloo now)
Advice to owner:
Fix walls to add sound/noise proofing material, because the walls/ceilings are too thin

A bit pricey, hallway carpets (c) openigloo could use replacing, can get (c) openigloo noisy depending on what side (c) openigloo of the building you're on (c) openigloo (lots of bars around)

Charge a bit less, and you'll have less turnover of all these young people

Nice location. Reasonably priced. Elevator. (c) openigloo In building laundry. Heating/AC is (c) openigloo great. Responsive and friendly super.
Cons:
Cleanliness issues. Trash piles up (c) openigloo in basement. Terrible smell. Roaches (c) openigloo everywhere despite monthly extermination. Dead (c) openigloo roaches in stairwell that never (c) openigloo get cleaned up. You might (c) openigloo be able to keep them (c) openigloo out of your apartment, but (c) openigloo it will be a lot (c) openigloo of hard work.

Super is very responsive. Exterminator (c) openigloo came regularly to spray for (c) openigloo pests. Never saw a cockroach (c) openigloo in my apartment, but it (c) openigloo was higher up. Cool neighborhood. (c) openigloo Pretty close to ACE.
Cons:
Walls are pretty thin. Have (c) openigloo heard other tenants through them. (c) openigloo Garbage room is almost always (c) openigloo full and only accessible outside (c) openigloo the building. Interior decor pretty (c) openigloo dated. Just an old building.

Add more space for trash disposal. Update apartment appliances.

Well located in good (c) openigloo neighborhood on tree lined street (c) openigloo w a park and conveniently (c) openigloo located to transportation. Apartments are (c) openigloo better laid out than most (c) openigloo tenements in neighborhood and have (c) openigloo fair amount of light & (c) openigloo windows. Elevator in building! Responsive (c) openigloo and live in Superintendent is (c) openigloo pleasant to deal with.
Cons:
Building agent (Frank McCartin) can (c) openigloo be antagonistic, homophobic and often (c) openigloo outright hostile to tenants and (c) openigloo fails to respond or address (c) openigloo maintenance issues. Building owner/administrators never (c) openigloo acknowledge issues, are surly and (c) openigloo litigious, and treat tenants poorly. (c) openigloo Walls are thin and you'll (c) openigloo hear everything your neighbors do. (c) openigloo Poor water pressure makes showering (c) openigloo often difficult. Hot water complaints (c) openigloo go unanswered yet seem to (c) openigloo eventually fix themselves . Construction (c) openigloo work by contractors lacks professional (c) openigloo quality, seems like no one (c) openigloo cares about doing a good (c) openigloo job. Building just looking to (c) openigloo do bare minimum to get (c) openigloo by. I know of several (c) openigloo tenants who'd had to report (c) openigloo issues to the city and (c) openigloo often still not resolved according (c) openigloo to the online reports.
Advice to owner:
Treat tenants like you'd wished to be treated yourself if you lived here. Respond and fix issues reported in a timely manner.
