Reviews

Good deal lovely apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Clean, good super, affordable, safe
Cons:
Hallway is a little gross, (c) openigloo they raise the rent about (c) openigloo $200 every year
Great Location but Not Really Worth the Headache
Former Tenant
Pros:
Lived here for 2 years (c) openigloo mid-pandemic, went through 3 management (c) openigloo companies. Great location next to (c) openigloo the subway, bars and restaurants, (c) openigloo was relatively inexpensive and had (c) openigloo good layouts. Original management companies (c) openigloo were good but the supers (c) openigloo of each company were the (c) openigloo absolute people ever. Super responsive (c) openigloo and kind - the only (c) openigloo redeeming quality about the building.
Cons:
Loved the original (Rudd), though (c) openigloo not everybody had the same (c) openigloo feelings. The second company was (c) openigloo the worst, most unresponsive but (c) openigloo didn’t have to connect with (c) openigloo them much. The final (and (c) openigloo current) company was horrible - (c) openigloo the gas and heat were (c) openigloo shut off for repairs from (c) openigloo May 2021 through April 2022; (c) openigloo management gave everyone a 2 (c) openigloo burner hot plate rather than (c) openigloo just replace the gas stoves (c) openigloo with electric. Packages were always (c) openigloo stolen by the drug addicts (c) openigloo coming into the building, and (c) openigloo there were no security cameras (c) openigloo despite one fake one at (c) openigloo the front of the building (c) openigloo used as deterrent. The intercom (c) openigloo system was always malfunctioning - (c) openigloo the neighboring building (owned by (c) openigloo same company) received the new (c) openigloo Butterfly MX system but our (c) openigloo building never got one. Stoop (c) openigloo into the building was uneven (c) openigloo and broken, never fixed.
Advice to owner:
Address the security issues rather than giving the units a facelift and charging insane amounts.
Location requires compromise
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location, location, location. The management (c) openigloo team is very hands-off, and (c) openigloo you can really make your (c) openigloo apartment as unique as you (c) openigloo please.
Cons:
The management team is very (c) openigloo hands-off and the super is (c) openigloo basically non existent. In such (c) openigloo an incredible location, the building (c) openigloo could be impressive if the (c) openigloo team showed any pride in (c) openigloo owning and operating it.
Advice to owner:
Band-aid fixes to problems don’t solve them.
Not the best, worked for the short time.
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great location, rooms were sizable (c) openigloo for a low budget. The (c) openigloo floor plan was good for (c) openigloo roommates who want privacy.
Cons:
Roach problem at the time, (c) openigloo which hopefully has been remedied
Great place to live
Former Tenant
Pros:
Love everything about this building. (c) openigloo Doormen and staff are the (c) openigloo best
Cons:
Limited amenities in building
Advice to owner:
We love the property
Good building, great location
Former Tenant
Pros:
Affordable, great West village block
Cons:
Packages not always secure. (c) openigloo Currently behind scaffolding.
Good spot to live
Former Tenant
Pros:
Responsive super, clean entry way
Cons:
Broken lock on the front (c) openigloo door, bad water pressure and (c) openigloo temperature
Advice to owner:
Fix the front door
W 4th St
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location is #1 perk, proximity (c) openigloo to WSP windows in each room (c) openigloo of 2 bedroom nice kitchen renovation That (c) openigloo is about it
Cons:
W 4th street & areas (c) openigloo surrounding the park are experiencing (c) openigloo higher crime. Street can be (c) openigloo scary at night Security has been (c) openigloo an issue Walk up No control over (c) openigloo heat No cooking gas in (c) openigloo building as of mid 2022
Advice to owner:
Not applicable .
Nice place
Former Tenant
Pros:
Well maintained Beautiful neighborhood
Cons:
If you live facing the (c) openigloo anex it sucks. It's loud (c) openigloo and neighbors complain about light (c) openigloo and noise from each other. (c) openigloo Also no privacy
3 Management Changes Over 16mo
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location, it’s close to good (c) openigloo subways, great restaurants and bars, (c) openigloo adjacent to the southwest entrance (c) openigloo of the park, 3 citibike (c) openigloo stations within a 3 block (c) openigloo radius, 2nd management company had (c) openigloo an amazing super managing the (c) openigloo building who was kind and (c) openigloo attentive-very responsive.
Cons:
The garbage area was disgusting, (c) openigloo always overridden with trash-like a (c) openigloo mountain of trash. The majority (c) openigloo of units are old and (c) openigloo rundown, way over market value (c) openigloo and need many improvements. Rodents (c) openigloo and roaches in the hallways (c) openigloo frequently. People steal packages all (c) openigloo the time. Identical building next (c) openigloo door (owned by same management (c) openigloo company) has butterfly intercom system (c) openigloo and our building does not. (c) openigloo Intercom system is absolute mess (c) openigloo and always broken, never gets (c) openigloo fixed. Current management company has (c) openigloo super managing the building that (c) openigloo does not answer texts and (c) openigloo is unresponsive. This new management (c) openigloo company company is also trying (c) openigloo to clear house and is (c) openigloo sending every non-rent controlled unit (c) openigloo notice of non-renewal which is (c) openigloo just so frustrating.
Advice to owner:
Be attentive and listen to the tenants, previous management was an absolute mess and did not care about the tenants. Follow up and be responsive.
