Cons:
Gas was out for 5 (c) openigloo months so no stovetop cooking (c) openigloo or oven. Communication around the (c) openigloo repair was nonexistent Very loud (c) openigloo at night from local businesses Tiny (c) openigloo bathroom and water takes a (c) openigloo while to heat in the (c) openigloo winter

first off, i frequently saw (c) openigloo dead roaches in the hallway. (c) openigloo when we moved in, they (c) openigloo said they would fix the (c) openigloo windows and oven (it didnt (c) openigloo close) soon and they never (c) openigloo did. whenever i asked them (c) openigloo to fix something they would (c) openigloo get so mad. a homeless (c) openigloo person broke into the lobby (c) openigloo and peed on the floor (c) openigloo and no one picked up (c) openigloo my phine call. it is (c) openigloo so cold in the winter, (c) openigloo they need to fix the (c) openigloo windows. they told us we (c) openigloo didnt pay rent so many (c) openigloo times when we did. i (c) openigloo picked up a call at (c) openigloo work and they were so (c) openigloo nasty telling me we left (c) openigloo the apartment a complete mess (c) openigloo (not true) and they ended (c) openigloo up mixing ours up with (c) openigloo someone elses and never apologized. (c) openigloo also, the first staircase is (c) openigloo so narrow so moving furniture (c) openigloo is horrible. people also stole (c) openigloo packages from the lobby. this (c) openigloo happened to me multiple times (c) openigloo within 1 hr of amazon (c) openigloo delivering them. move somewhere else.

Pros:
I lived here for 10 (c) openigloo years and loved it. Great (c) openigloo location obviously. I never had (c) openigloo any major issues which says (c) openigloo a lot. Super is responsive (c) openigloo when you need him. Addi (c) openigloo is a great guy and (c) openigloo actually cares about the tenants. (c) openigloo Good value for the price (c) openigloo and the location.
Cons:
You do get street noise (c) openigloo at night but that goes (c) openigloo without saying for the neighborhood. (c) openigloo The hallway was occasionally dirty.
“Bugs don’t fly that high”

Close to subway and amazing (c) openigloo restaurants, good soundproofing between units (c) openigloo (my neighbor blasted music all (c) openigloo day and while it was (c) openigloo audible in the hallways I (c) openigloo never heard it in my (c) openigloo apt), good division of space (c) openigloo inside apts
Cons:
Things will break and it (c) openigloo will take ages to get (c) openigloo them fixed. Every time you (c) openigloo ask for something to be (c) openigloo fixed they’ll respond with anger (c) openigloo and condescension. My fridge broke (c) openigloo twice and each time it (c) openigloo took two weeks to fix (c) openigloo it. The second time, person (c) openigloo who comes to fix things (c) openigloo called and asked me what (c) openigloo the fridge “sounded like” so (c) openigloo he could determine what part (c) openigloo to buy then when he (c) openigloo came with the purchased part (c) openigloo he got irritated because I’d (c) openigloo described the sound “wrong” and (c) openigloo he purchased the wrong part. There (c) openigloo was a slow leak in (c) openigloo the radiator of the unit (c) openigloo above me which caused paint (c) openigloo to build up and flake (c) openigloo down into my living room (c) openigloo in quarter sized chunks. Not (c) openigloo super comforting since the building (c) openigloo is 100 years old and (c) openigloo defs had lead paint. The (c) openigloo toilet in the unit above (c) openigloo mine also leaked into the (c) openigloo wall so my bathroom ceiling (c) openigloo started growing mushrooms. The pest (c) openigloo control person apparently comes and (c) openigloo knocks on doors but I (c) openigloo never heard the knock even (c) openigloo when I was working from (c) openigloo home. When I mentioned this (c) openigloo to the landlord he responded (c) openigloo angrily that he had hired (c) openigloo someone, that person was doing (c) openigloo their job and he wasn’t (c) openigloo going to make any changes. (c) openigloo So when I inevitably did (c) openigloo see pests, I had to (c) openigloo hire my own pest company (c) openigloo to spray and seal the (c) openigloo apt. The presence of pests isn’t (c) openigloo a shocker though because this (c) openigloo building leaves all the windows (c) openigloo in the stairwell open 24/7. (c) openigloo None of the windows have (c) openigloo screens so anything can fly/crawl (c) openigloo in. When asked about adding (c) openigloo screens to the windows the (c) openigloo landlord said “bugs don’t fly (c) openigloo that high”. Lol. Finally, this (c) openigloo building is next to 4 (c) openigloo bars/clubs. And the windows are (c) openigloo single paned so there is (c) openigloo no sound proofing at all. (c) openigloo It is extremely loud and (c) openigloo I’ve slept through earthquakes, fire (c) openigloo alarms you name it. If (c) openigloo you don’t sleep until after (c) openigloo 2 am, aren’t bothered by (c) openigloo bugs and want every request (c) openigloo to fix things to be (c) openigloo responded to with “Have you (c) openigloo paid your rent on time?” (c) openigloo even if you’ve never missed (c) openigloo a payment, go for it.
Large sun filled apartments

Pros:
The apartment was quite spacious (c) openigloo and we had a ton (c) openigloo of natural sunlight from huge (c) openigloo southern facing windows. Tall ceilings. (c) openigloo Building always felt very secure. (c) openigloo Super doesn’t live in building (c) openigloo but is generally responsive.
Cons:
We had mice every winter (c) openigloo despite our best efforts of (c) openigloo steel wool and foam spray. (c) openigloo Couldn’t figure out where they (c) openigloo we coming in. The real (c) openigloo primary con —it is SO (c) openigloo LOUD. I guess it’s expected (c) openigloo bc it’s next to hair (c) openigloo of the dog but damn. (c) openigloo Gotta be a really sound (c) openigloo sleeper to get a good (c) openigloo nights rest. Loud lines outside (c) openigloo most nights from 10pm-4am (pre-COVID).
Advice to owner:
Upgrade the windows so they don’t let in so much noise or do some sound proofing. If this was less of an issue I’d very happily have stayed!
