Relatively clean stairway
Cons:
Water started leaking in my (c) openigloo ceiling and it took months (c) openigloo of calling and emailing and (c) openigloo threatening to withhold rent in (c) openigloo order for them to do (c) openigloo a half-assed repair
Advice to owner:
Stop being slumlords
Nice building, loud neighbors, but fine!!

Clean, dishwasher, tub, quiet neighborhood (c) openigloo (during the day)
Cons:
Dryer doesn’t work! better to (c) openigloo go down the street to (c) openigloo do your laundry. Neighbors love (c) openigloo to party all night hard (c) openigloo to ignore !

Beautiful area, amazing roof, lots (c) openigloo of space and natural light, (c) openigloo lots of kitchen space and (c) openigloo big fridge. Nice layout!
Cons:
1. the connectivity in the (c) openigloo building is not great. (c) openigloo two / three rommies work (c) openigloo from home and it goes (c) openigloo out almost everyday, when we (c) openigloo watch tv etc. it’s not (c) openigloo just us, it’s the whole (c) openigloo building, we’ve asked other tenants. (c) openigloo we even asked optimum to (c) openigloo come check the wifi but (c) openigloo they charge an $80 fee (c) openigloo if it’s the building not (c) openigloo the wifi itself. 2. it (c) openigloo gets pretty hot up (c) openigloo here in the winter. you (c) openigloo can’t control the heat, it’s (c) openigloo controlled by the building. the (c) openigloo building barely ever turns it (c) openigloo off from sept - may. (c) openigloo 3. there’s an ant problem (c) openigloo in the kitchen whenever it (c) openigloo gets warm. we’ve also found (c) openigloo multiple cockroaches/ water bugs in (c) openigloo various locations but never bed (c) openigloo bugs. 4. In the winter, (c) openigloo there’s an annoying tapping noise (c) openigloo in two of the rooms (c) openigloo because the pipes freeze. It (c) openigloo makes it hard to sleep (c) openigloo and i had to buy (c) openigloo headphones. I asked the building (c) openigloo to bleed the pipes but (c) openigloo they didn’t.
Advice to owner:
bleed the pipes and fix connectivity pls!
For the cost, I'd look at one of the newer buildings in the area

Pros:
Close to an express train (c) openigloo with great delivery options.
Cons:
Very little insulation. It takes (c) openigloo a lot of $ to (c) openigloo heat and cool your unit. (c) openigloo Lots of street noise from (c) openigloo traffic, to fights and businesses (c) openigloo that stay open all hours (c) openigloo of the night.

Great Location, love the neighborhood. (c) openigloo there are washer/dryer units but (c) openigloo it’s a combo machine and (c) openigloo does not work very efficiently/has (c) openigloo broken multiple times. Units are (c) openigloo a good size and the (c) openigloo top floor has a lot (c) openigloo of light with skylights. Nice (c) openigloo roof access
Cons:
maintenance issues go through a (c) openigloo different company so it is (c) openigloo not easy to fix issues (c) openigloo quickly. . We had major issues (c) openigloo with another tenant causing disturbances (c) openigloo and threatening my roommates vandalizing (c) openigloo our door and screaming at (c) openigloo us, we were promised he (c) openigloo would leave but eventually he (c) openigloo left on his own accord. (c) openigloo It was very scary for (c) openigloo us and management pretty much (c) openigloo did nothing, told us to (c) openigloo call cops, not helpful.
Advice to owner:
Replace appliances when needed, and take tenants safety seriously
Not worth the new rent but pretty nice building

Amenities are great including roof, (c) openigloo is you threaten the landlord (c) openigloo they will fix stuff. Building is (c) openigloo pretty clean

Neighbors are genuinely scary. One (c) openigloo of them was selling drugs (c) openigloo and threatening girls and management (c) openigloo didn’t do anything. The rooms (c) openigloo are also super small and (c) openigloo walls are thin

- Building interior (hallways) is (c) openigloo not maintained - INSANELY hot in (c) openigloo the summer time, no ventilation (c) openigloo or AC. If you live (c) openigloo on the top floor, prepare (c) openigloo for an inferno or spend (c) openigloo a ton of money on (c) openigloo AC. - Elementary school across the (c) openigloo street very loud between huge (c) openigloo construction job or screaming kids. (c) openigloo Construction starts early and ends (c) openigloo late, lights blaring into windows. - (c) openigloo Front yard is not maintained (c) openigloo - Neighbors are shady, drug (c) openigloo deals frequently occur outside of (c) openigloo the apartment - Only nearby grocery (c) openigloo stores are overpriced local shops, (c) openigloo need to travel to Trader (c) openigloo Joe’s or Key Food via (c) openigloo train or Uber.

Very close to both M (c) openigloo and L trains. A supermarket (c) openigloo is a block away. The (c) openigloo apartment 3L is beautiful and (c) openigloo new.
Cons:
Right next to the train (c) openigloo racks. You’ll hear the trains (c) openigloo pass by. Apartment 3L leaks!! (c) openigloo Every time it rains there’s (c) openigloo a leak in the bathroom (c) openigloo and the smallest room. The (c) openigloo owner was told numerous times (c) openigloo and nothing significant was ever (c) openigloo done. The ceiling would come (c) openigloo down and they would just (c) openigloo paint it back up. And (c) openigloo it just looks alright till (c) openigloo the next rainstorm. Aggravating. Then (c) openigloo when it was time to (c) openigloo renew the lease they DARED (c) openigloo to tell us the rent (c) openigloo is going up if we (c) openigloo continue living there and when (c) openigloo we mentioned the constant leaks (c) openigloo they acted oblivious to the (c) openigloo whole thing. “I didn’t know (c) openigloo there was an issue”. So (c) openigloo the countless emails and you (c) openigloo telling us it’ll get fixed (c) openigloo doesn’t ring a bell? Very (c) openigloo frustrating. Moved out as soon (c) openigloo as the lease was over.
Advice to owner:
When there’s a reoccurring issue that the tenants are complaining about it needs to be fixed so it doesn’t happen again. Not make it look like it was fixed and give people false promises.
