Lease states that heat is (c) openigloo included, yet heat isn’t provided (c) openigloo on a continuous basis. No (c) openigloo hot water pressure. Fireplace, which (c) openigloo is a prime reason to (c) openigloo rent the space is now (c) openigloo off limits with no compensation. Although (c) openigloo it’s listed as luxury building (c) openigloo and the rent reflects that; (c) openigloo the services fall short. Every (c) openigloo winter heat is only in (c) openigloo 45 min every few hours.
Advice to owner:
Provide continuous heat when it’s 18F outside - it’s the law. If you take away a feature from the apartment provide rent discount appropriate to such reductions.

The Croydon is located right (c) openigloo next to the Neue Gallery, (c) openigloo half a block from Central (c) openigloo Park, a few blocks from (c) openigloo the Met and the Guggenheim (c) openigloo museums. This location is unbeatable (c) openigloo and also close to the (c) openigloo 4/5/6 subway line. The apartment (c) openigloo staff (doormen, handymen, porters, and (c) openigloo maintenance) are very friendly, quick (c) openigloo to respond to maintenance requests, (c) openigloo and like to get to (c) openigloo know the residents. Due to (c) openigloo the 24/7 doormen, I feel (c) openigloo very safe living in this (c) openigloo apartment building with my dog. (c) openigloo The staff keep the building (c) openigloo very clean and well-maintained. I (c) openigloo plan on renewing my lease (c) openigloo when my lease is up (c) openigloo for renewal.

The building was clean and (c) openigloo without pests or rodents, which (c) openigloo is huge to me. The (c) openigloo apartment was well-arranged and, in (c) openigloo retrospect, a great deal. It (c) openigloo is only half a block (c) openigloo from the park and a (c) openigloo couple of blocks from the (c) openigloo Met. The staff was friendly (c) openigloo and management was responsive.
Cons:
Nothing at all to complain (c) openigloo about. I would have (c) openigloo preferred to have in-unit w/d (c) openigloo but the laundry downstairs was (c) openigloo fine.

(c) openigloo - My studio is pretty (c) openigloo spacious and a good amount (c) openigloo of closet space - Big (c) openigloo windows; minimal sunlight but that's (c) openigloo okay - I love the neighborhood (c) openigloo and convenience . Close to (c) openigloo some of my favorite restaurants

- Mentally ill neighbor I (c) openigloo had to deal with for (c) openigloo a year, which caused me (c) openigloo anxiety and also being (c) openigloo threatened by her in the (c) openigloo hallway. - Apartment was 'broken' (c) openigloo and not renovated at all (c) openigloo when I moved in, so (c) openigloo I had to redo a (c) openigloo lot of stuff by myself (c) openigloo to make it decent (c) openigloo . Walls was very disgusting (c) openigloo and hot oil stuck to (c) openigloo the kitchen walls which was (c) openigloo hell to get rid of. (c) openigloo Had a really dirty bidet (c) openigloo toilet, windows was disgusting, floors (c) openigloo was gross especially the bathroom (c) openigloo - Management doesn't care about (c) openigloo keeping you as a tenant when (c) openigloo you're a good one and (c) openigloo friendly with the neighbors. They'll (c) openigloo just raise the rent over (c) openigloo 50% and leave no room (c) openigloo for negotiating at a more (c) openigloo reasonable price . It's normal (c) openigloo for them to raise it (c) openigloo 1000$ all at once when (c) openigloo the lease ends, instead of (c) openigloo raising it $200-$300 more which (c) openigloo would be more fair. Who (c) openigloo is prepared to have their (c) openigloo rent raised 1000$ more?? (c) openigloo There should've been a warning (c) openigloo or at least something on (c) openigloo the lease about that!

Have some compassion and be more fair to tenants that actually enjoy living here, despite all of the negative situations we have with the apartment or building . It's a great place and I've made a lot of friends with the neighbors and doormen.

Terrible grocery store selection, a (c) openigloo little boring and tons of (c) openigloo tourist, no sunlight on inner (c) openigloo facing units, fixtures are cheap (c) openigloo and fall apart easily

Don’t try to raise your tenants rent by 40% two years in a row.
