Amazing location that allows you (c) openigloo easy access to most train (c) openigloo lines and easily walk to (c) openigloo Flatiron, West Village, etc. It's (c) openigloo a small building so it's (c) openigloo rare that you're fighting for (c) openigloo a laundry machine. The neighbors (c) openigloo are all really nice. People (c) openigloo bring each others packages up (c) openigloo and are generally looking out (c) openigloo for each other.
Cons:
You are right off of (c) openigloo 7th ave and above a (c) openigloo bar (Cafeteria) so it is (c) openigloo always loud, especially when the (c) openigloo bar has a party (Halloween, (c) openigloo Pride, etc). Also if you (c) openigloo run into any issues the (c) openigloo Super, Harry, is pretty slow (c) openigloo to respond/get a resolution. When (c) openigloo I moved in there were (c) openigloo a ton of roaches and (c) openigloo the laundry room & garbage (c) openigloo room have been "under construction" (c) openigloo for over a year so (c) openigloo you're stuck with a temporary (c) openigloo space for both. Everything in (c) openigloo this building is from at (c) openigloo least 30 years ago.
Advice to owner:
Invest back into this building and get a Super that actually acts on the tenants needs.

I am begging that no (c) openigloo one rent in this building!!! (c) openigloo It is a major safety (c) openigloo hazard. In May 2023 there (c) openigloo was a devastating fire with (c) openigloo casualties in the building and (c) openigloo no fire alarms went off. (c) openigloo The next day the building (c) openigloo management simply told us it (c) openigloo was "safe to return and (c) openigloo most tenants went back to (c) openigloo their apartments" despite the fact (c) openigloo that the city had vacate (c) openigloo orders all over the doors (c) openigloo - this place is a (c) openigloo major major health and safety (c) openigloo hazard!! There is also a (c) openigloo major roach and mice issue (c) openigloo that management does not care (c) openigloo about.

Uncontrolled roach infestation in one (c) openigloo apartment that the landlord did (c) openigloo nothing to mitigate. Fire (c) openigloo in one apartment caused us (c) openigloo to vacate. Actively renting (c) openigloo out apartments after the fire (c) openigloo and not informing new tenants (c) openigloo about smoke damage / no (c) openigloo working gas still. Do (c) openigloo not sign a lease here.
Advice to owner:
Stop pretending this building is even somewhat livable post fire until it is fully renovated. Check in on tenants - one apartment should not be the cause of extremely unhealthy conditions.

Cons:
Small units, sometimes the heat (c) openigloo doesn't kick in early enough (c) openigloo on cold days.
