Far from subway but the (c) openigloo building does what they can (c) openigloo to remedy that. There’s a (c) openigloo shuttle that takes you to (c) openigloo the subway most mornings, though (c) openigloo I’ve only seen it running (c) openigloo a handful of times since (c) openigloo I moved in

Pros:
The building itself is pretty (c) openigloo nice. Most of the doormen (c) openigloo are great and the building (c) openigloo does offer good amenities. Rooftop (c) openigloo views of the entire city.
Cons:
I did not realize how (c) openigloo awful this location is until (c) openigloo moving here. If you are (c) openigloo a young woman, please be (c) openigloo cautious as it is generally (c) openigloo not safe with several sketchy (c) openigloo people everywhere. It was pretty (c) openigloo common to hear gunshots and (c) openigloo the building next door caught (c) openigloo on fire from a crack (c) openigloo house. In the building itself, (c) openigloo they consistently let a homeless (c) openigloo man in that is known (c) openigloo to harass people on the (c) openigloo streets for money and is (c) openigloo often passed out on the (c) openigloo sidewalks on surrounding streets. Spoke (c) openigloo to the building about this (c) openigloo a few times and could (c) openigloo never get a clear explanation (c) openigloo as to why he was (c) openigloo let into the building. It (c) openigloo got to a point where (c) openigloo I was honestly scared to (c) openigloo get into the elevator at (c) openigloo times, fearing he would come (c) openigloo in or would stop at (c) openigloo a floor he was wandering (c) openigloo on. My quality of life (c) openigloo and anxiety has improved immensely (c) openigloo since moving out of here. (c) openigloo BE CAREFUL

The building (c) openigloo is super old and the (c) openigloo pipes make enough noise that (c) openigloo to disturb your sleep in (c) openigloo the morning.

Really liked the building manager (c) openigloo as he was helpful when (c) openigloo needed. Also, very quiet area.
Cons:
Had poor heat control. Had (c) openigloo cockroaches in the bathroom on (c) openigloo multiple occasions.
Advice to owner:
Care more about the people who rent through you.
Avoid! Poor management. Leaves a lot to be desired

The concierge staff are very (c) openigloo amazing and professional.
Cons:
Hallways and garbage rooms on (c) openigloo resident floors are not cleaned (c) openigloo or emptied often. The stairways (c) openigloo have never been cleaned since (c) openigloo the building was built. Building (c) openigloo management response to inquiries and (c) openigloo problems are very delayed, if (c) openigloo at all. Noise issues are (c) openigloo not addressed if raises to (c) openigloo property manager. Life threatening issues (c) openigloo such as a faulty carbon (c) openigloo monoxide alarm will not be (c) openigloo addressed for 4-5 days until (c) openigloo a follow-up consisting of an (c) openigloo angry email is sent. The (c) openigloo heat is not turned on (c) openigloo in a timely despite the (c) openigloo NYC heating law, or it (c) openigloo would be turned off in (c) openigloo the middle of the winter. (c) openigloo If an a/c malfunctions in (c) openigloo the summer during 90 degree (c) openigloo heat, building will not replace (c) openigloo in a timely manner - (c) openigloo lag period of 2-3 weeks. (c) openigloo Construction is very poor - (c) openigloo floorboards separate, neighbors on other (c) openigloo floors are audible, floor is (c) openigloo uneven in general. Minimal if (c) openigloo any investment in property upkeep.
Advice to owner:
Find a new building manager with thorough work experience. Building management in general should at least have some level of training at minimum.

Pros:
The staff at the Adele (c) openigloo were all so kind. Chris, (c) openigloo the super, is also one (c) openigloo of the most responsive supers (c) openigloo I've had. Windows were thick (c) openigloo and were relatively great at (c) openigloo soundproofing. Ceiling and floors were (c) openigloo concrete so that helped with (c) openigloo dampening any sounds from your (c) openigloo neighbors upstairs. Garbage room on (c) openigloo every floor that were maintained (c) openigloo well and were kept clean. (c) openigloo We stayed there for 5 (c) openigloo years!
Cons:
Construction was quite shoddy. Wooden (c) openigloo floors had warped and loosened (c) openigloo by the time we moved (c) openigloo in, which was only the (c) openigloo 2nd year the building was (c) openigloo open for rentals. Even though (c) openigloo the windows were great at (c) openigloo soundproofing, they cracked twice throughout (c) openigloo the 5 years we lived (c) openigloo there from heat. PTAC air (c) openigloo conditioner was not too effective (c) openigloo in cooling our tiny studio, (c) openigloo and the bathroom was prone (c) openigloo to mold as there was (c) openigloo no fan and the only (c) openigloo vent in there was quite (c) openigloo small.

Great, attentive super. Clean and (c) openigloo upgraded units. Responsive management.
Cons:
No laundry in building. Some (c) openigloo problem neighbors that didn’t ruin (c) openigloo the experience but made it (c) openigloo difficult at times.
Advice to owner:
Consider upgrading units to include w/d.

The superintendent (Ansen) is the (c) openigloo absolute best. Truly have never (c) openigloo had such a responsive hardworking (c) openigloo guy in any building I've (c) openigloo ever lived in. Literally the (c) openigloo only positive.
Cons:
The steam risers make noise (c) openigloo EVERY SECOND. Imagine Barry Bonds (c) openigloo is in the basement swinging (c) openigloo a bat against the base (c) openigloo pipes every other second. Every (c) openigloo day. Not to mention, ask (c) openigloo to see the boiler before (c) openigloo moving in. Had a friend (c) openigloo who specializes in contracting with (c) openigloo HVAC systems come look at (c) openigloo it, and he told me (c) openigloo point blank the system is (c) openigloo ready to explode at any (c) openigloo second. Really great wondering if (c) openigloo I'm going to die in (c) openigloo my sleep. Sent plenty of emails (c) openigloo regarding the issues, videos of (c) openigloo the faulty system, you think (c) openigloo of something to try and (c) openigloo fix the issue and odds (c) openigloo are I did it. The (c) openigloo response I got? "Well winter (c) openigloo will be over soon and (c) openigloo the boiler will turn off" (c) openigloo .... awesome, so what happens (c) openigloo next year since I signed (c) openigloo a long term lease?

I'd give advice, but Kahen obviously is full of a bunch of individuals who do not care to listen.
