Pros:

Cons:
Rent hikes every year
1C Unit Rating
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location - proximity to bars (c) openigloo and restaurants. Also, there is (c) openigloo a dishwasher, and good storage (c) openigloo above kitchen and bathroom.
Cons:
The closet in this unit (c) openigloo doesn’t fit adult hangers, so (c) openigloo I had to purchase Children’s (c) openigloo size hangers just to be (c) openigloo able to use the closet. (c) openigloo The unit is poorly insulated (c) openigloo when you have an AC (c) openigloo unit in the window so (c) openigloo in the winter you are (c) openigloo constantly freezing unless you go (c) openigloo through the hassle of removing (c) openigloo it. The shower is tiny, (c) openigloo and when someone flushes or (c) openigloo is showering in the building (c) openigloo at the same time as (c) openigloo you, you’re either burnt to (c) openigloo a crisp or freezing the (c) openigloo cold. The hot water heater (c) openigloo in the building also goes (c) openigloo in and out quite a (c) openigloo bit. The hallways are very (c) openigloo loud and any time someone (c) openigloo is in the hallway or (c) openigloo the staircase you hear everything. (c) openigloo The management company is slow (c) openigloo to respond, and when they (c) openigloo do they’re very rude. They’re (c) openigloo also now charging almost $2k/month (c) openigloo plus a brokers fee for (c) openigloo the unit because the landlord (c) openigloo doesn’t want to front that (c) openigloo cost anymore, which is absolutely (c) openigloo ridiculous given the size. At (c) openigloo most, this unit should be (c) openigloo worth $1,500 based on size (c) openigloo and building amenities, which are (c) openigloo none. It’s literally less than (c) openigloo 300 square feet. Also, the (c) openigloo front door of the building (c) openigloo that faces the street is (c) openigloo always unlocked, so people often (c) openigloo wander into the entry way (c) openigloo to seek shelter, and there’s (c) openigloo a lot of package theft (c) openigloo for things that get left (c) openigloo there instead of being placed (c) openigloo behind the locked door. I’ve (c) openigloo had people standing there some (c) openigloo nights when I’m trying to (c) openigloo get home, making it unsafe (c) openigloo for me to get into (c) openigloo my apt. Depending on your (c) openigloo budget, and ideal neighborhood, this (c) openigloo is not the building I’d (c) openigloo go for. I’ve had friends (c) openigloo secure better apartments for a (c) openigloo fair price, and the property (c) openigloo managers are much nicer.
Advice to owner:
Stop overcharging for a boiler room under the stairs. This apt is less than 300 square feet.

Pros:
Love the location and overall (c) openigloo cleanliness of the building. There’s (c) openigloo not a pest problem which (c) openigloo is great in NYC. The (c) openigloo neighbors are kind and respectful (c) openigloo and the building is clean.
Cons:
I have had minor pests (c) openigloo in my apt and the (c) openigloo exterminator is hard to get (c) openigloo ahold of.
Advice to owner:
I would make sure the exterminator comes every month. Since COVID began he hasn’t come once. And I’m home all the time.
