Pros:
Location is very convenient, the (c) openigloo superintendent is amazing
Cons:
Management is terrible, they lie (c) openigloo about fees and are unresponsive. (c) openigloo They tried to threaten me (c) openigloo with something that I knew (c) openigloo was illegal, but when you're (c) openigloo stressed about moving, it can (c) openigloo be difficult to call someone's (c) openigloo bluff - I had an (c) openigloo issue with my bank and (c) openigloo tried to fix it immediately (c) openigloo and they told me if (c) openigloo I didn't sort it out (c) openigloo before the end of the (c) openigloo business day, they were going (c) openigloo to throw my lease away, (c) openigloo despite me having already signed (c) openigloo it and putting down a (c) openigloo deposit. They also threatened to (c) openigloo charge me for having to (c) openigloo reschedule an apartment viewing when (c) openigloo I had COVID. Would not (c) openigloo recommend.
Advice to owner:
Fire whoever is managing the property at Landmark, he is extremely rude and aggressive and is going to get you all sued.

Pros:
My unit was renovated, so (c) openigloo it was nice to have (c) openigloo an updated bathroom. Another plus (c) openigloo is that the live-in super (c) openigloo is very responsive and helpful.
Cons:
It definitely got noisy in (c) openigloo the back because of the (c) openigloo terraces in the units below. (c) openigloo Very little natural light. Main (c) openigloo issue was that I was (c) openigloo concerned with asbestos the last (c) openigloo year I lived there since (c) openigloo a fire in an adjoining (c) openigloo building (same prop co.) forced (c) openigloo all tenants to evacuate and (c) openigloo the building remained empty due (c) openigloo to asbestos. Seems odd that (c) openigloo our adjoined building was magically (c) openigloo asbestos free.
Advice to owner:
Do a full check for toxic materials in the building please!

Pros:
Building is in a nice (c) openigloo neighborhood.
Cons:
Landlord is horrible. Heat comes (c) openigloo on when they decide to (c) openigloo put it on. Apartments are (c) openigloo cold. Building takes long to (c) openigloo respond to issues and/or doesn’t (c) openigloo respond at all. Superintendents are (c) openigloo useless. Landlord does not keep (c) openigloo up with necessary upkeep of (c) openigloo apartments and building.
Advice to owner:
Treat the apartment building as if someone in your family lived in it. Treat your tenants better than you do. Paint the hallways. Keep up with necessary upkeep of individual apartments. Stop putting the heat on when you please. Especially in the winter. It’s cold outside. Tenants should have heat on throughout the day, even if it’s on low. Instead there is no heat at all except for every 4-5 hours for 30-40 minutes.

I’ve lived here for 2 (c) openigloo years & granted, it’s an (c) openigloo old building so it has (c) openigloo its flaws. However, management has (c) openigloo always been quick to respond (c) openigloo & our super is quick (c) openigloo to arrive to fix it. (c) openigloo Even through the pandemic, we (c) openigloo were able to get small (c) openigloo & large requests completed. We (c) openigloo don’t experience bugs in the (c) openigloo building or unit and the (c) openigloo heat is consistent throughout winter (c) openigloo months. It isn’t a rent stabilized (c) openigloo building but they weren’t going (c) openigloo to increase rent on the (c) openigloo next lease if we signed, (c) openigloo I’m assuming due to the (c) openigloo pandemic.
Cons:
Older buildings have their issues (c) openigloo so definitely keep that in (c) openigloo mind. My main complaint would (c) openigloo be our neighbors who consistently (c) openigloo smoke inside their unit so (c) openigloo the 4th floor always smells (c) openigloo like cigarettes.
Advice to owner:
Take action with tenants violating lease clauses faster. Otherwise, it was an overall pleasant experience living here.

Great location, decent amount of (c) openigloo space for the price/location, quiet (c) openigloo building, no mice, feels secure
Cons:
0 amenities, super can be (c) openigloo very slow to fix problems, (c) openigloo some units don’t have dishwashers
Advice to owner:
Respond to your tenants and actually do a full scrub of apartments between leases! A lot of built up dirt
