Cons:
-constant bug infestations -water goes off (c) openigloo with no warning -constant broken front (c) openigloo door with people coming in (c) openigloo and out -rats jumping behind the (c) openigloo walls -poor trash management

Pros:
No one steals packages.
Cons:
Inside of the building is (c) openigloo not well kept. Maintenance is (c) openigloo mediocre & not dependable. Property (c) openigloo managers are terrible at responding (c) openigloo to the phones. Garbage control (c) openigloo is managed well but by (c) openigloo the middle of the day (c) openigloo or the evenings, outsiders, neighbors (c) openigloo and rats make the outside (c) openigloo of the building so unclean. (c) openigloo Pest control has to be (c) openigloo called personally. Wash and dryer (c) openigloo 2-in-1 is not ideal. Spend (c) openigloo more energy by drying over (c) openigloo and over. Neighborhood can be (c) openigloo really loud especially when it’s (c) openigloo nicer outside.
Advice to owner:
find alternatives for keeping the trash regulated besides the morning groundsmen. Clean the stairwells and fix light fixtures in building.
Nothing fancy, decent place to live

Great location, apartment had a (c) openigloo decent sized common area and (c) openigloo bedroom were of reasonable size (c) openigloo for NYC. The bike room (c) openigloo and in building laundry are (c) openigloo super nice to have. Never (c) openigloo heard any noises from other (c) openigloo apartments and they do clean (c) openigloo the stairwell from time to (c) openigloo time (probably not often enough) (c) openigloo and had a pest control (c) openigloo service come by and treat (c) openigloo both the stairwell and individual (c) openigloo apartments. Would have liked to (c) openigloo stay but they priced us (c) openigloo out. The other tenants in (c) openigloo the building are quite nice (c) openigloo people.
Cons:
The paint on the walls (c) openigloo was super cheap and chalky (c) openigloo and just touching it with (c) openigloo clean hands would leave a (c) openigloo mark. They didn't turn the (c) openigloo heating pipes on all winter (c) openigloo so it was cold inside.
Advice to owner:
Please use a better paint in units unless you are ok with it looking weird and dirty.

A sewage leak in our (c) openigloo bathroom lasted for over a (c) openigloo year. Management allowed our ceiling (c) openigloo to crumble. Took our ceiling (c) openigloo away entirely and then 2 (c) openigloo rats fell into our bathroom. (c) openigloo There was mold in the (c) openigloo bathroom due to all of (c) openigloo the sewage. Management painted over (c) openigloo issues, and continuously gaslighted us.
Advice to owner:
Don’t rent this place to someone else until the problem is truly fixed.

The units are quite large, (c) openigloo between 3-4 bedrooms, and include (c) openigloo appliances like in-unit laundry and (c) openigloo dishwashers. Tasteful changes were made (c) openigloo to the units that have (c) openigloo been renovated (and, of course, (c) openigloo de-stabilized), including ceramic hexagonal tile (c) openigloo in the bathrooms and globe (c) openigloo light fixtures in every room, (c) openigloo while maintaining some of the (c) openigloo original built-in cabinetry to retain (c) openigloo a graceful sense of its (c) openigloo age.
Cons:
The building is very old; (c) openigloo in the past year, tenants (c) openigloo have experienced mice and roach (c) openigloo infestations; ceiling leaks; broken floorboards; (c) openigloo broken appliances; inconsistent access to (c) openigloo hot water. Mold was found (c) openigloo in the walls of my (c) openigloo apartment, and lead was found (c) openigloo in the walls of my (c) openigloo neighbors, where a three-year-old lives, (c) openigloo and it took management weeks (c) openigloo to send professional crews to (c) openigloo rectify these issues. Tenants who (c) openigloo live in the units who (c) openigloo have not been renovated and (c) openigloo are still rent-stabilized experience worse (c) openigloo conditions, and are basically ignored (c) openigloo by the management company, InDev. (c) openigloo InDev took over management of (c) openigloo the building in January 2023. (c) openigloo They bully tenants who make (c) openigloo complaints, are slow to make (c) openigloo repairs and often send inexperienced (c) openigloo persons, and raise the rent (c) openigloo exponentially each year; in the (c) openigloo three years I've lived here, (c) openigloo my rent has increased by (c) openigloo about 40%.

Absolute terrible construction. There is (c) openigloo no insulation between floors and (c) openigloo you can hear every single (c) openigloo step the people make above (c) openigloo you. I am light on (c) openigloo my feet and still got (c) openigloo complaints. The people above us (c) openigloo sounded like they were walking (c) openigloo around with bricks on their (c) openigloo feet. Landlord would put off (c) openigloo doing absolutely any maintenance work (c) openigloo in the building. We had (c) openigloo a leak from above and (c) openigloo drywall falling from the ceiling (c) openigloo and it took months for (c) openigloo them to even fix the (c) openigloo leak let alone the wall. (c) openigloo The units look new and (c) openigloo updated, but it was not (c) openigloo done well.
Advice to owner:
insulate the ceilings/floors

Some units are renovated and (c) openigloo very nice. Very tall ceilings (c) openigloo and great light. Neighbors often (c) openigloo nice and kind.
Cons:
Management isn’t always very responsive (c) openigloo so have to call a (c) openigloo few times if need them. (c) openigloo Some people leave trash outside (c) openigloo of trash room so it (c) openigloo smells but cannot smell it (c) openigloo in apartments.
Great location, but not worth it in the long run

Good location- right across the (c) openigloo street from central park and (c) openigloo close to the subway.
Cons:
Had mice (multiple sightings) and (c) openigloo cockroaches and ownership did very (c) openigloo little to help us. Not (c) openigloo rent stabilized- they increased our (c) openigloo rent by 20% from year (c) openigloo 2 to year 3. Thin (c) openigloo walls and squeaky floors, can (c) openigloo pretty much hear when the (c) openigloo upstairs or next door neighbor (c) openigloo was playing music, playing with (c) openigloo their pet, arguing, etc. Our (c) openigloo bathroom ceiling (above the toilet) (c) openigloo collapsed at one point and (c) openigloo it took them almost a (c) openigloo week to fix it fully (c) openigloo and very little concessions on (c) openigloo rent from that. Management is (c) openigloo NO help and you should (c) openigloo probably look elsewhere if possible.
