Pros:
Generally speaking, the other tenants (c) openigloo were kind people. With one (c) openigloo major exception, but sometimes that (c) openigloo can’t be helped. Location was (c) openigloo seriously amazing, and I was (c) openigloo on the 5th floor, so (c) openigloo the roof access was everything. (c) openigloo The apartment itself was sun-drenched (c) openigloo and spacious, although in desperate (c) openigloo need of a facelift.
Cons:
Rats. Let’s just start there. (c) openigloo I had them in my (c) openigloo ceiling and crawling around in (c) openigloo my kitchen regularly. Landlords took (c) openigloo 3 months to deal with (c) openigloo it, after telling me they (c) openigloo didn’t believe me, then threatened (c) openigloo me when I called 311. (c) openigloo Ultimately they just sent someone (c) openigloo to fill a hole in (c) openigloo the plaster wall behind my (c) openigloo kitchen cabinets (which were falling (c) openigloo off the wall), and I (c) openigloo still saw rats in/around the (c) openigloo building regularly. Garbage management was (c) openigloo TERRIBLE. Most of the time (c) openigloo there were massive piles of (c) openigloo trash inside the building and (c) openigloo it STANK in the summer. (c) openigloo So many roaches and flies. (c) openigloo Radiators barely came on and (c) openigloo spewed hot water everywhere when (c) openigloo they did. Hot water anywhere (c) openigloo else, however, was a rare (c) openigloo treat. I would’ve stayed but (c) openigloo they neglected the building and (c) openigloo my unit to a point (c) openigloo where I couldn’t sleep. Every (c) openigloo tiny noise at night woke (c) openigloo me up because I was (c) openigloo afraid it was another rat. (c) openigloo I did everything I could (c) openigloo to keep that apartment clean (c) openigloo and pest free. Never got (c) openigloo my security deposit back.
