Reviews

Nice pre-war co-op
Former Tenant
Pros:
I appreciate the doormen and (c) openigloo laundry in the building. Maintenance (c) openigloo men are very responsive and (c) openigloo helpful whenever I’ve needed them.
Cons:
Each unit is owned by (c) openigloo a different person so your (c) openigloo experience is somewhat dependent on (c) openigloo your landlord’s contract with the (c) openigloo co-op. My landlord is chill (c) openigloo but others are not.
Advice to owner:
N/A
Could be better
Former Tenant
Pros:
On Riverside Drive near leafy (c) openigloo trees,
Cons:
Heating is inconsistent; too hot (c) openigloo and windows have to be (c) openigloo opened, cockroaches got pretty bad (c) openigloo which makes everyone use extermination (c) openigloo which makes them just run (c) openigloo to neighboring apartment
Advice to owner:
More maintenance staff
great building overall
Former Tenant
Pros:
amazing staff, with a beautiful (c) openigloo lobby
Cons:
neighbors can be snobby
Rent at your own peril
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is tucked away (c) openigloo in a quiet corner of (c) openigloo Midtown East. The parks are (c) openigloo very nice and the many (c) openigloo bodegas within Tudor City are (c) openigloo convenient. It's a slice of (c) openigloo (cheaper) Gramercy in the middle (c) openigloo of Manhattan.
Cons:
The building is old and (c) openigloo in need of serious upgrades/repairs. (c) openigloo I can't even count the (c) openigloo number of times I found (c) openigloo a live roach in my (c) openigloo bathroom. I also saw multiple (c) openigloo mice in my apartment. On (c) openigloo top of that, management is (c) openigloo absolutely awful and they nickel (c) openigloo and dime you on everything. (c) openigloo I ended up moving out (c) openigloo because the unit above me (c) openigloo would not stop banging on (c) openigloo the floor at all hours (c) openigloo of the day and night (c) openigloo and also smoked incessantly. This (c) openigloo is supposed to be a (c) openigloo non-smoking building.
Small, charming and quiet
Former Tenant
Pros:
This building is charming, well (c) openigloo maintained and incredibly quiet. It (c) openigloo is one of the few (c) openigloo pre war boutique buildings with (c) openigloo an elevator which is a (c) openigloo big plus. The street is (c) openigloo purely residential except for the (c) openigloo wine bar on the corner (c) openigloo so there’s no noise at (c) openigloo night. Neighbors were all quiet (c) openigloo and respectful. Pet friendly and (c) openigloo a great neighborhood for dogs. (c) openigloo Location absolutely cannot be beat
Cons:
Units are small so very (c) openigloo little closet space and storage. (c) openigloo 1 bedroom too small for (c) openigloo more than single occupancy. I (c) openigloo did have a couple packages (c) openigloo go missing in the mail (c) openigloo room
Advice to owner:
Better mail organization and upkeep of the rooftop deck
Garbage building feels like the Projects
Former Tenant
Pros:
You got 1 good doorman (c) openigloo in the day and 1 (c) openigloo good cleaner everything else un (c) openigloo acceptable
Cons:
I can't believe my eyes (c) openigloo they have one person doing (c) openigloo everything the super never around (c) openigloo always have other people doing (c) openigloo his work then trying to (c) openigloo charge us for things that (c) openigloo are free from the building (c) openigloo not acceptable.
Convenient studio for midtown commute
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice doormen, bright laundry room (c) openigloo facing East river, convenience store (c) openigloo in building was great if (c) openigloo you needed something, felt safe
Cons:
Only saw water bugs twice (c) openigloo in one year. Had rodent (c) openigloo chew through the floor- took (c) openigloo several days to get pest (c) openigloo control out.
A Great Co-op! (circa 2012-16)
Former Tenant
Pros:
-excellent property maintenance -responsive and (c) openigloo competent superintendent -co-op residents council (c) openigloo (community involvement below the co-op (c) openigloo board level) -no weight limits for (c) openigloo dogs -interior courtyard -proximity to A train (c) openigloo (at 181st St) -electricity included in (c) openigloo monthly maintenance (annual surcharge per (c) openigloo AC unit) -part-time doorman
Cons:
-meh property management company -I think (c) openigloo shareholders were limited in subletting (c) openigloo their units (only 2 out (c) openigloo of every 5 years was (c) openigloo permitted)
Advice to owner:
Keep up the good work, and make sure Ziggy gets ACOL increases ;)
Great pre war apt building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Super charming apartment building with (c) openigloo excellent staff. Courtyard facing apartments (c) openigloo are very quiet
Cons:
Had 1-2 roaches per year
Amazing UWS Apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Rent controlled apartments that are (c) openigloo an insanely good price for (c) openigloo the UWS.
Cons:
Some people in this building (c) openigloo are the definition of a (c) openigloo Karen.
