Reasonable condition, gym in building, (c) openigloo maintenance comes promptly, kind staff (c) openigloo and management, great location
Cons:
Can be hard to find (c) openigloo open laundry machines, have to (c) openigloo call maintenance a bit more (c) openigloo desirable for repairs but it (c) openigloo always gets done (some appliances (c) openigloo are getting a bit old)

Pros:
Great location with easy access (c) openigloo to 59St-Columbus Circle Station and (c) openigloo 57th St Station. Close to (c) openigloo Central Park, tons of fast/fast (c) openigloo casual restaurants nearby. Most doormen (c) openigloo are friendly, all the handymen/cleaning (c) openigloo staff are extremely friendly and (c) openigloo go out of their way (c) openigloo to help you with trash, (c) openigloo etc.
Cons:
Roach and Mice issues - (c) openigloo Found a dead roach on (c) openigloo the day of move in (c) openigloo so I knew I was (c) openigloo off to a bad start. (c) openigloo Kept finding roaches (dead and (c) openigloo alive) within the first month (c) openigloo of moving in and it (c) openigloo took multiple complaints and temporarily (c) openigloo vacating the unit for any (c) openigloo measures to take place. Certain (c) openigloo doormen and super (if you (c) openigloo can reach him) will gaslight (c) openigloo you into saying it’s a (c) openigloo waterbug and dismiss you of (c) openigloo your concerns. Ex. You will (c) openigloo complain about rats and they’ll (c) openigloo respond with “Oh it’s just (c) openigloo a mouse. You live in (c) openigloo New York, deal with it.” Unresponsive (c) openigloo and Unhelpful Management - It’s (c) openigloo hard to reach the super (c) openigloo as he is either always (c) openigloo away and “don’t have” an (c) openigloo email/phone number to contact him. (c) openigloo You have to rely on (c) openigloo the doorman to pass along (c) openigloo the message so there’s never (c) openigloo a paper trail. When you (c) openigloo request maintenance, it’s unclear when (c) openigloo and what action will be (c) openigloo taken so you have to (c) openigloo follow up multiple times and (c) openigloo again, they don’t take you (c) openigloo seriously. All the stress and (c) openigloo paranoia of living there caused (c) openigloo me insomnia and aged me (c) openigloo about 5 years. All that (c) openigloo being said, the roach/mice issue (c) openigloo seems to vary by unit. (c) openigloo My unit and the unit (c) openigloo next to mine had a (c) openigloo lot of issues but I’ve (c) openigloo also met residents who lived (c) openigloo there for decades with no (c) openigloo problem.

Maintenance requests were fixed promptly. (c) openigloo Large bedrooms and big windows. (c) openigloo 24/7 doormen so packages aren't (c) openigloo stolen. Laundry in-building. Elevators. A/C (c) openigloo in-unit. Prime location to Columbus (c) openigloo Circle / Central Park. No (c) openigloo pests on upper floor (yet). (c) openigloo Tiny trash chute on each (c) openigloo floor.
Cons:
Old building and LIMITED HEAT. (c) openigloo The building controls the heat, (c) openigloo which means even if you (c) openigloo turn on the heat in (c) openigloo your apartment, it will not (c) openigloo actually turn on unless the (c) openigloo building has it on. Invest (c) openigloo in a portable heater. Small (c) openigloo fitness center costs $600/year (not (c) openigloo worth). Thin walls. Poorly insulated (c) openigloo windows with gaps so you (c) openigloo can hear 56th VERY clearly (c) openigloo (including horses, pedestrians, cars, daily (c) openigloo construction in the parking garage, (c) openigloo and trash trucks twice a (c) openigloo week). Moving in and out (c) openigloo is only allowed M-F from (c) openigloo 9a-4p.

The doorman are super friendly. (c) openigloo The elevator is always working. (c) openigloo Appliances all work well. There (c) openigloo is central heat and A/C, (c) openigloo which is great.
Cons:
Building is a bit old, (c) openigloo saw some roaches a few (c) openigloo times in the apartment.

This is a nice apartment. (c) openigloo The apartment is also more (c) openigloo spacious than most in the (c) openigloo UES area. Rent is reasonable.
Cons:
If you are in the (c) openigloo bedroom facing the street, it (c) openigloo is extremely loud. All of (c) openigloo the cars that exit off (c) openigloo the FDR exit and turn (c) openigloo onto 64th st. The windows (c) openigloo are now soundproof; and in (c) openigloo the summer with a window (c) openigloo AC, you're out of luck. (c) openigloo You'll need to get used (c) openigloo to earplugs.

Cons:
Neighborhood isn't great, after four (c) openigloo years they didn't want to (c) openigloo renew our lease and didn't (c) openigloo give any reason why.

Great and safe surrounding area, (c) openigloo amazing doormen, spacious bedrooms, & (c) openigloo has the most incredible super (c) openigloo - overall perfect starter apartment!
Cons:
Sometimes there was the occasional (c) openigloo roach (happened 3 times over (c) openigloo our 12 month lease) in (c) openigloo the lobby or the stairwell….but (c) openigloo its new york its gonna (c) openigloo happen.
