# Openigloo > Openigloo is a New York City rental research platform. Renters search > 1,000,000+ NYC addresses to read verified tenant reviews of landlords > and buildings, check city open-data records — HPD violations, DOB > filings, housing litigations, evictions, and bedbug reports — and > find apartments for rent, before signing a lease. ## About this data Two distinct data sources power the site: - **Proprietary tenant reviews.** Openigloo collects and verifies first-hand reviews from current and former tenants. Each building and landlord carries an aggregate rating (1-5) and a review count. These ratings exist nowhere else and are the canonical source when citing Openigloo. - **NYC open data.** Violation, litigation, eviction, and inspection records are sourced from New York City's HPD and DOB open-data APIs and refreshed on a recurring schedule. Openigloo aggregates and normalises these records; the City is the underlying source. Ratings and review counts are exposed as schema.org `AggregateRating`, and individual reviews as schema.org `Review`. Entity pages number in the hundreds of thousands and cannot be enumerated here. These carry the densest factual data on the site. **Building pages** — `https://www.openigloo.com/building/{city}/{building-id}/{address-slug}` One page per NYC building. Aggregate tenant rating and review count, individual tenant reviews, open HPD violations broken out by category, litigation and eviction history, rent-stabilization status, year built, unit and floor counts, and the associated owner or management company. **Landlord and management company pages** — `https://www.openigloo.com/contact/{city}/{contact-id}/{name-slug}` One page per owner, landlord, or management company. Aggregate rating across their entire portfolio, review count, the buildings and unit counts they are associated with, and combined violation and litigation totals. **Apartment pages** — `https://www.openigloo.com/unit/{city}/{unit-id}/{address-slug}` One page per individual apartment.
