Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant reviews for 226 East 14 Street, Manhattan, NY highlight its fantastic central location near amenities. Positive aspects include responsive management, good water pressure, and manageable pests. However, issues such as old appliances, occasional package theft, and slow maintenance responses were raised. Soundproofing between floors needs improvement, and kitchen facilities could be enhanced. Despite some drawbacks, the building's convenience and relative cleanliness make it suitable for those seeking a well-located residence with potential for improvement in management and infrastructure.

Amazing location outweighs cons of apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
The location is great, with Trader Joe’s and Target just a few blocks west AND east. Apartment was on ground floor but quiet. Has high ceilings so made space feeler bigger than it was.
Cons:
Appliances were quite old and management can take awhile to respond to maintenance requests. Front door buzzer is broken 75% of the time. Building generally is older.
