Former Tenant - good place for a starter nyc apartment but pricey

Location, responsive super
Cons:
Cockroaches, price, the street and neighbors are loud

- super was responsive and easy to get a hold of
- hallways kept clean
Cons:
- rent increased 40% every year
- management was never helpful
- took over a month to get my deposit back

Treat your tenants like human beings

Great apartment if you like wondering how certain things happen

Location is amazing. Close to everything. Good neighbors. Noise between apartments isn’t bad. Heat works well!

There have been some iffy scenarios, upon asking management they make up some response as to how it happened versus actually looking into it.

Beautiful apartments with exposed brick and in-unit washer dryers. Can't beat location.
Cons:
Management is completely unresponsive. Hot water and water pressure is terrible despite multiple complaints.

It’s in a very convenient area
Cons:
Horrible management - looks great when you tour but as soon as you move in, everything breaks and it takes them weeks to get things fixed. We didn’t have a working toilet/tub for over 3 week
Advice to owner:
There is a reason why tenants don’t stay and it’s sad because I would’ve been more than happy to renew our lease if there just would’ve been better management.
