Review Summary for 37 West 64 Street
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 37 West 64 Street, Manhattan reveal a building with an excellent, convenient location near transit, parks, and dining. Rent stabilization is a plus for some units, some of which have updated fixtures. However, management responsiveness is a major concern, with many tenants citing unaddressed maintenance issues, including malfunctioning elevators, heating, plumbing, and pest control. Garbage overflow and cleanliness problems are frequent complaints. Noise and thin walls also impact comfort. While some neighbors are friendly and staff occasionally praised, overall dissatisfaction with management and maintenance undermines tenant experience. Improvements in upkeep and communication are needed to fully leverage the building’s favorable location.

Wonderful Quiet Place to live!
Former Tenant
Pros:
It’s in the perfect location with a mix of great restaurants, live performances, short walk to train and bus lines, right next to the park, and kind people who have lived in the building for a long time.
Cons:
Our unit is right off the stairwell, so sometimes it can get a little loud. The elevator sometimes likes to takes their time, but hey, we have an elevator.
Advice to owner:
There could be maybe a plant or two out front of the building to make it homie.

Great location, rent stabilized
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location! Some units have updated fixtures
Cons:
Property manager impossible to get a hold of. Rent is still paid by checks slip under your door (5 days after it's due), communication isn't good
Advice to owner:
Be more responsive and caring to your renters. Take pride in your building...has potential because of location but property owner doesn't care
