Pretty standard pre-war walk up
Former Tenant
Pros:
Recently renovated kitchen with new appliances and flooring/counter/cabinets.
Cons:
Steep stairs, top floor apartments are unbearably hot in both the summer and the winter. Bedrooms are tiny, bathrooms are tiny. Gas was shut off in March due to a leak. It is now September and the service still has not been restored. While the property management did provide measly 2 burner electric hot plates and an air fryer to every unit, we’re going on 6 months of our lease without cooking gas, and only a 10% deduction on rent. While they did work quickly to get the plumbers to begin repairs on the system, service still has not been restored.

Decent pre-war building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good neighbors. Quiet building.
Safe location on top of a restaurant.
Helpful Super.
No issues with heating/hot water.
Cons:
No laundry in building.
Had pests once; the owning company took take of it.
Back apartments face a wall. No natural light/view.

Good Enough
Former Tenant
Pros:
Easy access to subway.
Cute block.
Nice neighborhood.
Cons:
Restaurant downstairs was SO LOUD and the kitchen staff used to smoke in the back which wafted up into each apartment. The inner apartments all faced a brick wall meaning very little light and no view of the outside world. Pigeons also loved to hang out on the inner fire escapes. The bathrooms are SO small- imagine rotating in the same spot from the sink to the toilet to the shower. The bedrooms were also super tiny 7'x8'.
Advice to owner:
Nothing - Not applicable.
