Review Summary for 225 Central Park North
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews of 225 Central Park North highlight its prime location near subway lines and parks, with generally quiet neighbors and a clean, well-maintained lobby. Renters appreciate the reasonable pricing and decent apartment size, along with good water pressure in some units. However, heating is a major concern, often described as insufficient or malfunctioning during winter months. Management and super responsiveness are inconsistent, with several complaints about unhelpful or rude staff and unresolved maintenance issues including pest control and trash management. Security systems and building infrastructure could be improved. Prospective renters should weigh location benefits against ongoing management and heating challenges.

Heatless Winters and Owners Who Don't Care
Former Tenant
Pros:
Lobby is nice and clean. Neighbors are quiet for the most part. Never had to deal with stolen packages.
Cons:
There is very little heat in the winter—just check the thousands of HPD complaints for the building. The super, Cesar, will lie and tell you the heating system works "perfectly" while shifting the blame to every single tenant in the building for why their apartment doesn't feel warm. The property manager, Jason, is hard to get in touch with and is rude and dismissive when you do get a hold of him. Refuses to take accountability for anything and only cares about collecting your rent money. Avoid this building at all costs. Not worth it.
Advice to owner:
Take accountability and fix the issues in the building that you are well aware of. Care about your tenants.

Decent, Standard Apartment
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to 2/3, AC lines, lots of restaurants nearby, close to Central Park and Morningside Park. Always felt safe in the area.
Cons:
It has been getting very expensive each year, Im guessing to make up for covid pricing.
