Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 825 West 181 Street, Manhattan, highlight its prime location and spacious, characterful units with prewar charm. Tenants appreciate the friendly neighbors and quiet atmosphere, as well as in-unit laundry in renovated apartments. However, consistent issues include poor heating, uneven maintenance, pest presence, and unresponsive management, often leading to long repair delays. Building cleanliness and garbage management receive mixed feedback, and the basement laundry area is frequently criticized for being outdated and unkempt. Rent stabilization status varies or is uncertain, with some concerns about rent history. While the location and community stand out, management and infrastructure improvements are needed.
