Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews of 300 East 34 Street highlight spacious apartments with good layouts, abundant natural light, and attractive amenities like a rooftop pool, gym, and attentive doormen. Maintenance requests are generally handled promptly, and the building is kept clean. However, many tenants report high and unexpected heating and electricity costs, along with some pest issues, notably occasional cockroach sightings. Noise levels can be significant due to the busy surrounding streets and young, sometimes rowdy neighbors. Management receives mixed feedback: while some find them responsive, others criticize poor communication, restrictive rooftop policies, and account transparency. Rent increases and additional fees have also raised concerns.

Great Building until the Electricity Bill During Winter
Former Tenant
Pros:
doorman and porters are amazing, nice amenities, spacious layout
Cons:
water turns yellow at times, bathrooms outdated, the apt building bills you for electricity and cons you during the winter. Our 1 bedroom with flex wall ended up with a $550-$750 electricity bill each month during winter. They bill the electricity back to you so essentially are able to charge you whatever they want at whatever rate.
