Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 340 St Nicholas Avenue highlight its rent-stabilized status, onsite gym, outdoor spaces, and excellent location with easy subway access as prime benefits. Tenants praise the building’s cleanliness, friendly doorman, security features, and strong water pressure. The owner is generally responsive, and the community atmosphere is well-regarded. Common drawbacks include dated appliances, occasional street noise—especially on lower floors facing the street—and signs of wear in maintenance areas such as laundry rooms. While most tenants recommend the building for its value and amenities, a few note declining maintenance and suggest updates to appliances and infrastructure for an improved living experience.

Great staff and great value
Former Tenant
Pros:
Rent stabilized, W/D in unit, onsite gym and outdoor space
Cons:
The appliances in the apartments are dated and really need to be replaced. There is sometimes street noise on weekends.
Advice to owner:
Replace the super old PTAC units--they are noisy!

Great building, would recommend
Former Tenant
Pros:
Rent stabilized!! Good building, responsive fixes, gym for tenants is great.
Cons:
Living on lower floor on street side there is a lot of street noise day and night especially summer weekends, and weed fumes. We use white noise machines, sleep headphones.
Advice to owner:
They are doing a good job, nothing they can do about street noise
