Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews praise 255 East 2 Street for its modern, well-maintained units featuring amenities like laundry, rooftop, and gym, with clean common areas and soundproofing. Neighbors are generally considered good, and the building maintains strong water pressure and pest control. However, many tenants express frustration with management's poor communication, slow or neglectful maintenance response, and lack of security measures resulting in frequent package thefts. Construction noise has been a persistent issue, and some note heating/AC inconsistencies. While residents value the building's style and amenities, management shortcomings and neighborhood safety concerns temper overall satisfaction.

Nice building but too pricey
Former Tenant
Pros:
Units are modern, well maintained and have laundry
Cons:
Can be pretty loud because right on Houston, and neighborhood can be hit or miss at night

Great building and amenities, terrible management team
Former Tenant
Pros:
Sound proof windows and walls. Common areas are kept clean and the trash room gets cleared out often.
Cons:
If one of the amenities needs a repair, it could take upwards of 10 months before it's fixed. Ex. one of the treadmills broke and only got fixed 5 months later, TV in the lounge area stayed broken for 1 year despite already notifying management multiple times prior. Experienced 2-3 leaks from the rain in the past 3 years. Packages sometimes get stolen but I think thats to do with the postman leaving them out in the lobby.
