DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!
Former Tenant
Pros:
Close to the #4 train station
Cons:
Landlords seemingly change every 6 months, wrongful evictions take place, Rodent & roach infested apartments. Dirty hallway. No sufficient heat in the winter. Unsecured building & no working intercom service available to tenants (hence the reason why the building is never secured) Unsecured mail boxes. Elevator breaks down on a regular basis. Compactor rooms on each floor are sealed shut forcing tenants to take their garbage outside, however, disabled tenants must either live with the garbage in their apartments or leave it outside of their apartment door to feed the mice & roaches (since the elevator is always broken). Superintendent is lazy and likes to waste time chatting with tenants during working hours instead of getting the job done so that he can clean the building when he’s not working in someone’s apartment. Neighbors fight (brawl), play loud music and party in the hallways. No respect & Gross living conditions.
Advice to owner:
Hire a “round the clock” security guard. Quit buying buildings that you aren’t willing to invest in and maintain properly. Respect your tenants, especially since you’re hiking up their rent every chance that you get. The Bronx deserves better than this!!
