Negligent Landlord and Neglected Building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nothing the building is always dirty with litter, cigarettes, and trash bags
Cons:
Building is always dirty rarely cleaned once every two months. Packages always stolen and management will never help to view security footage, there is no super, any issues you have a with neighbors management will not do anything about it. Heat and hot water turns off on the coldest Nights of the year, broken marble staircases that anyone can have an injury on, he charges crazy rent for this filth. Also you have to pay rent in physical checks and walk it over to the office every month they don’t do anything electronically.
Advice to owner:
If you want to charge park slope rent then clean and maintain your property. Hire a proper management team not just a rude unhelpful woman.

Slumlord
Former Tenant
Pros:
The building is friendly neighbors it’s in a great neighborhood the rooms are big
Cons:
There is no super who lives in the building the hallways are dirty the Lanlord only responds when you call 311 n blocks tenants numbers so you can’t call anytime there is a problem
Advice to owner:
Hite a super who lives in the building treat your tenants with respect and courtesy because they’re paying a lot of rent even though it’s rent stabilized Hi, a super who lives in the building treat your tenants with respect and courtesy because they’re paying a lot of rent even though it’s rent stabilized

Beware! Horrible Sunset Park building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Layout and size of apartment were great! Good corner shop nearby. This place has so much potential if management actually did anything.
Cons:
Roaches, roaches, roaches. I set traps, sealed the walls, but the building is infested. There’s no avoiding them. They come in through the cracks in the walls and through the shower drain. The water was brown. You have to run the water for a few minutes in order to get clear water. They would turn off the heat randomly in the winter at night. I regularly called and complained in order to get the apartment to a livable temperature. Management is awful. They don’t put any money into maintaining the building.
Advice to owner:
Respect your tenants and at least do enough work on the place to make it livable.

Solid Sunset Park Rental
Former Tenant
Pros:
Good price for the space! Had a great layout
Cons:
The apartment had barely any closets, and the living room was pretty small.

Worst Possible Place to Live
Former Tenant
Pros:
It is noise controlled
Cons:
Low maintenance on building and apartments, buildings are old so something is always breaking and needs repairing, disrespectful and intrusive neighbors, bugs and mold throughout the entire building
Advice to owner:
Take better care of your apartments in order to collect rent some of the apartments are so bad tenants have taken landlord to court and won. Open violations galore!!
