Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews of 1625 Park Place in Brooklyn reveal a building with a strong sense of community and friendly neighbors, praised repeatedly by tenants. While management shows some responsiveness, many note ongoing maintenance issues such as pests, deteriorating ceilings, and poor heating systems that lead to high utility costs. Noise disturbance and lack of sunlight in certain units are common complaints. Garbage management receives mixed feedback but is generally acceptable. Rent stabilization applies here, making it an affordable option, though the building's condition and infrastructure need improvement. Overall, it may suit those prioritizing community over amenities and modern upkeep.

It’s fine if you really need somewhere to live and have no other options
Former Tenant
Pros:
People in the building are great
Cons:
Ongoing issues with leaking/crumbling ceiling, roaches, broken mailboxes. Management will respond to issues but take no initiative to actually improve things. Windows in some apartments are like tissue paper and let in noise from an otherwise quiet block. Have to pay for own heat in the winter which even being mindful and always turning it off when not home made my electric bill $200/month

No sunlight, far from subway
Former Tenant
Pros:
Space-wise apartment was good for the price
Cons:
- Creepy super - tenant pays for heat and it’s badly setup and very expensive due to poor isolation - Neighbors have loud parties with speakers until 5am or play one record on repeat all day/night. This is fine if you enjoy blasting music too - Found a mouse in apartment once, but other than that no issues - Long walk to subway (over 10 mins) - Depending on unit, no chance of direct sunlight anywhere
