Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 403 Macon Street in Brooklyn, NY 11233 suggest challenges with maintenance responsiveness, communication with owners, and pest control. Despite friendly neighbors and a convenient location near various amenities, issues with uncooperative maintenance personnel, slow owner responses, and recurring pest problems affect residents' living experiences. Improvement in maintenance efficiency, better communication practices, and enhanced pest control measures are recommended for a more satisfactory living environment. The consensus leans towards not recommending this building for potential renters due to these persisting concerns.

Maintenance is impossible
Former Tenant
Pros:
The neighbors are friendly and respectful.
Cons:
Jerry with maintenance is impossible to work with. If you're lucky enough to have him respond, he'll have a bad attitude. He's even tried to argue with us, seemingly over nothing. The breaking point for me is that he comes off sexist and angry. Given that you'll at some point rely on maintenance to function to be able to live here reasonably, I would NOT RECOMMEND living here, especially for a woman.
Advice to owner:
Reasonable oversight of maintenance duties
