Worst building in bedstuy

The neighbors are sweet
Cons:
Everything. The management is horrid. They never respond and the building is incredibly old. Nothing has been renovated or fixed.

Poorly maintained building with a useless super.

Plumbing - leaks from unit above (it was rent stabilized and the landlord refused to service them as a way of driving them out so he could charge more) resulting in water literally pouring into my unit which ended up with a 5 foot hole in my bathroom ceiling for 4 months. My unit also leaked into the downstairs unit and I couldn’t even turn on my kitchen sink for 3 weeks until the landlord finally agreed to send a plumber.

Safety - Packages are constantly stolen, there were multiple situations where people accessed the fire escape from neighboring buildings and tried to enter our unit.

Cleanliness - The garbage bins are regularly overflowing with dozens of rats at any given time. They spread rat poison outside without notifying us and some dogs in the building got sick.

Pests - Lots of cockroaches and a building wide case of bed bugs.
Advice to owner:
Stop buying buildings and maintain the ones you already have.

The apartment is very cute/light/high ceilings
Cons:
Neighbors are incredibly loud, history of bedbugs, boiler broke and didn't have heat for 2 weeks, owner/super won't fix anything
Advice to owner:
Actually fix the things that your tenants need fixed.

Pros:
High ceilings, nice people live here
Cons:
Overpriced, trash problems, rodent problems, bed bug problems, yard is full of diapers and trash, landlord is absent and management company is useless. Whole building is worn out and falling apart.
