Unprofessional Land lords
Former Tenant
Pros:
Apartments are floor throughout Good natural light Tall Ceilings Good water Pressure
Cons:
1) Internet is unusable. You are using the landlords wifi and they will not allow for new service because "the wires will look ugly". 3) Withholding rent. 4) Staircase is not up to code and basically falling apart. (they pretend they have fixed it). 5) The wood is warped around the window. 6) There were holes in the ceiling. 7) Nails are sticking out through the wood flooring. 8) Leaking mailbox that the landlord refuses to fix 9) They want to enter the apartment after 8pm for any fixes 10) The landlord controls the temperature of the heat 11) No AC
Advice to owner:
Hire a building manager or don't have tenants. The owners of the building do not understand NYC laws and have broken many tenant laws on multiple occasions. A lawyer would have a hay day with them.
