Moses Cowan is a bad faith actor
Former Tenant
Pros:
None. Illegal slumlord runs this place and will steal from you. run!!!
Cons:
Moses Cowan induced me into signing a lease I never received a copy of for an apartment he had illegally converted. He then harassed me, accused me of false damages, refused to grant me a walkthrough upon move out, and then withheld my deposit. He has racked up over 30 complaints in the NYC department of buildings. He is frequently sued for his horrible behavior. Stay away from this slum lord!!
Advice to owner:
Have fun being destroyed in court :p

Don’t live there - Owner will scam the tenants
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nothing except for the location.
Cons:
For anyone who’s is reading the reviews on here, the “good” reviews are all fabricated by the landlord himself. I was a former tenant and was scammed out of two months of security deposit. I went to court with him and in the process meeting a few former tenants who all had similar experience as me. This guy lives in the lower levels of the building and will fabricate “evidence” of damages you have “caused” after you move out. Furthermore, the building is illegally converted into multiple units without filing properly with the department of buildings, so if any kind of emergency should happen, your safety would not be guaranteed. One last thing, he would not let you install an AC in the unit unless you pay more. Imagine how hot it could get in those small units.
Advice to owner:
Stop being a prick.

Excellent Location and Great Value.
Former Tenant
Pros:
I lived at Classon for several years and had an overall positive experience. My unit was both spacious and reasonably priced for the area at the time. The building was always well-lit on the exterior and consistently clean and well-maintained inside. Whenever I reported an issue, it was usually addressed promptly by management. The rent was fair, especially considering the location, which made it a good value.
Noise was never a problem inside the building, making it a quiet and comfortable place to live. The neighborhood had a few decent restaurants nearby, offering convenient dining options. Additionally, there’s a mall (it has Target etc.) next to Barclays Center that’s within walking distance, providing easy access to shopping. For those who commute, Manhattan isn’t far (G, S & C are close by) and is accessible via multiple transit options. Overall, Classon offered a blend of affordability, convenience, and comfort that I greatly appreciated during my time there.
Cons:
Limited amenities (i.e. no gym or rooftop access). Traffic in the am during rush hour on a busy morning might get noisy at times. But, it was generally ok otherwise.

Terrible landlord, don’t rent
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location. That was is it
Cons:
Landlord kept my deposit illegally, and he did the same to every past tenant from the building that I spoke to. He made living in this building very unpleasant. He put a clause in the lease that no ac units were allowed, making the space unlivable in the summer. There are so many terrible instances, injustices, and preditarh behaviors that I could list. Just stay far far away!
