Crackheads sleep in lobby - don't live here
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great light in the apartment, were willing to negotiate/flexible with lease conditions around length/breaking lease
Cons:
The management company is pretty despicable. They never fix anything that breaks. There is a vestibule with a door that doesnt lock and then a keypad to get into the building. This is where the mailboxes are, but they've been broken for over a year so the mail is just in an unsorted pile on the ground. The worst part is that in the winter homeless drug addicts sleep in the vestibule because the door doesn't lock and it is heated. We've seen them smoke crack and shoot up in the vestibule and even burn the mail since the mail boxes haven't been fixed in so long. One of them tried to stab the super this winter so he's afraid to even kick them out now and I don't blame him. The company refuses to do anything about this because they would have to move the buzzer outside and they're more willing to expose tenant and their employee to this danger than pay for this
Advice to owner:
Respond to emails and phone calls sooner than a week and take safety issues seriously

This landlord/manager has no business owning/operating a rental building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Literally nothing. Worst apartment I’ve ever lived in.
Cons:
Heroin addicts shooting up in the vestibule (told the landlord multiple times. He told me straight up there is nothing they can do. Roaches everywhere in the basement. Homeless people digging through the poorly managed trash every day. Landlord never fixes anything.
Advice to owner:
Just sell the place to somebody who is actually cut out for the gig.

Great DIY apartment, but landlord stole security deposit
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great neighborhood, tall ceilings, great private view, and having two bathrooms is convenient. Great, but overworked super. Generally cleab
Cons:
Terrible landlord who stole my security deposit and charged me for a month of rent. Building staircase and hall regularly damaged, but slow to fix. Building has cheap material and rooms were small. They over worked a super.
Advice to owner:
Be more responsive and don't be an outright liar and thief. Also hire some help for the super.

Avoid at all costs
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice neighborhood. Frost street is a great quiet street to live on.
Cons:
Absolutely everything about the building . Run the other way and do not sign a lease at this place unless you want to be stuck with repairs that will never get fixed and a landlord who will never respond to you. Building is not safe , homeless people loiter and charge their phones in the front entrance because it is unlocked. Neighbors are extremely loud. The apartment was filthy when we moved in and they had obviously not cleaned up after the prior tenant. There is mold in the bathroom around the shower. Terrible and disappointing living conditions for the price.
Advice to owner:
Respond to your tenants and actually maintained the building . This has been an extremely frustrating living experience.
