Conveniently close to subway station

Landlord is a thief

Quite with a good view of the city.
Cons:
Landlord is a thief and has not given us back our deposit from 3 years ago. Even after he was ordered to do so by a judge.
Advice to owner:
Stop stealing people's money.

Landlord stinks; nice property though

Pros:
Amazing rooftop view. Small but effective living space.
Cons:
People don’t clean up after themselves on the rooftop and there is a lot of vandalization. But worst of all, the landlord will NOT give you back your security deposit. If you’re living here make sure you don’t pay the last months rent.

It was a nice area.
Great rooftop unless you live underneath it.
Cons:
The LL will not refund your security deposit even if you go to small claims court. Zip management/ 249 Jefferson LLC / Herman Jacobos will just ghost you and make up fake charges even if you have video and photo documentation of what the apt looked like at move in and move out.

I knew 3 other tenants during my time there that all experienced the same issue despite there being a rental law specifically addressing this issue.

Apts cost the same as better apts - better meaning more space, better lighting, etc
3B is an illegally modified room as one “bedroom” doesn’t have a window.
Advice to owner:
That they should stop breaking the law and return people’s security deposits.
