Only one washer/dryer for whole building
Dryer barely dries clothes
Property management went silent when it came time to return deposit
ConEd bills extremely high

Landlords weren’t super responsive, it took a long time to get any sort of response, especially if it required hiring someone to come fix something

Great neighbors all around, lively street, great hood, if you could peel a few coats of paint off the roof you’d find a beautiful surprise. Super was great
Cons:
Landlord succeeded in either scaring everyone out, evicting them, or initiating holdover proceedings to reclaim the apartments from tenants so he could re-do the empty building, taking it out of rent control and turning it into a glass abomination. Lengthy history of bedbugs in many units that doesn’t seem to be reported here, also mold, extensive water damage, non working heating units, you name it

Pros:
The roof has a great view. Easy trash schedule
Cons:
Parts of the ceiling fall down in the hallway and in top floor apartments when it rains, mostly unresponsive landlord, break-ins aren’t uncommon. The bedrooms in our apartment weren’t heated properly in the winter. Takes awhile for hot water to turn on.
Advice to owner:
Be more responsive to tenant requests, make sure to maintain/ keep up the building.
