Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 871 Hart Street, Brooklyn, emphasize its great location and some friendly neighbors. Renovated apartments with strong water pressure and decent heating are appreciated. However, renters consistently report poor cleanliness, inadequate garbage management, and persistent pest problems, especially roaches. Management's responsiveness is frequently criticized for being slow or unhelpful, leading to prolonged repair delays. Safety concerns like attempted break-ins and nearby problematic spots have been mentioned. Noise levels and small room sizes detract from comfort. Tenants advise management to improve pest control, maintenance speed, and building security to enhance living conditions. Overall, the building needs significant operational improvements for a better renter experience.

Barely worth it
Former Tenant
Pros:
Location was great and made friends with neighbors. Roof was also a nice perk. We moved in during Covid so we got a great deal, but they continued raising the rent so it definitely wasn’t worth it later down the line.
Cons:
We had a roach problem and water leaked through our ceiling every time it rained :) also someone tried to break into our apartment which broke our lock and we had to fight with management to reimburse us.
Advice to owner:
Redo the entire roof and get better pest control
